[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful hotel with incredible details and part usage. It is a top 3 modular in my book! Great value.

A great addition to the modulars

I played with Legos all the time as a kid (castle & pirate were my favorite themes). I studied architecture and now work in a residential design firm. A few years ago I discovered the modular series and I love them! So far I have the Parisian Restaurant, the Police Station, and now the Boutique Hotel. I have limited space to display them, so I don't buy every modular; I look for the ones with the most intricate and interesting facades (bonus points for the sets with the fun stories like the Police Station). The Boutique Hotel fits the bill perfectly! I love the unique shape of the hotel and the way the small art gallery and rooftop bar are squeezed into what might otherwise be forgotten space; it's exactly the way small shops and hidden gems make a real city feel vibrant! It was a very fun build with many ingenious techniques used to achieve the diagonal hotel wall and the very European roofline. I highly recommend this set - it's a great addition to any modular street!

Excellent Angles and Part Usage

The Boutique Hotel is my first modular building, and it is beautiful. I enjoyed the diagonal wall with its interesting floor and interior wall consequences. The instruction manual gives insightful story and facts about the build. I'm not a huge fan of the cubist art style as in real-life art museums. But like the museum curator, I like the literal glass cube the most, which is a reference to the former Creator Expert logo. The drinking fountain under the stairs to the rooftop bar is a nice touch, too. My favorite minifig was the SigFig (signature minifigure) of Lego designer Jamie Berard as the barista. Though a brick-built free continental breakfast would have been great, the coffee cart is a fun nod to the Café Corner. I went ahead and placed the cart inside the building on the lobby floor. I love the fact that this building is logically equipped with three bedrooms since it is a hotel after all. Though we're not going to ask how they all share one bathroom. The rooftop bar is cool, and creates an interesting contrast in height compared to the main hotel building. As always, this modular has no stickers! I really like the "H--*****" printed circular tile above the hotel entrance. I got January 2024's Food Truck GWP with this set for when the guests want something to eat rather than drink coffee or adult beverages above "El Cubo." The instructions called a hotel one of the most requested modular buildings, and I believe this set pretty well fills that void, though the price is $30 above the Modular Police Station. Despite that, a higher minifigure selection and interesting part usage increase the overall coolness.

Boutique Build

I have not started the build yet. I am a tax professional so it will have to be completed in the summer. I have several modular buildings and I love building and displaying them. I can't wait to add this build to my collection.

Corner piece

This was a relatively easy build. It has nice details both inside and out. It is another corner building, so you will probably need to rearrange your city setup. But completely worth it!

Love this hotel!

I love to travel and this reminds me of that. Super cute from lobby to highest room and the art boutique and outside bar area - it's just that cool. I probably need earlier set to join it to - until then I'm fine travel dreaming with my boutique hotel.

The shape of Boutique Hotel brought some new build challenges that were frustrating at times but rewarding at the end.
