Love the new design

I give credit to Lego for taking a new approach on modular design. This gives new options on how to place it. Love the little details and the Easter eggs from prior modulars. It was not challenging but fun to build. Next to other modulars besides the Parisian Restaurant looks out of place and a lot different but like I said before with this new approach and future buildings will make this interesting and fun. With the Downtown Diner and Detective's Office being different I think this Boutique Hotel style is more appropriate but that's just my opinion. Love it!

Pretty to look at...but has some design flaws

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Even though corner buildings aren't my favorite, overall the set is worth the purchase, and I enjoy looking at it alongside my other modulars (as long as the side with the flags are facing forward that is).
Some things to point out that didn't work IMO:
-what other people have said about Step 230 - the white column design on the second floor was bizarre, and I've never encountered a step like this, where it didn't flow or connect easily.
-the wasted alley space in the back. I get that they have to find a way to cut costs, but honestly, how much more $ would it be to fill in that space in. We're already losing so much space with a corner building!
-Penthouse is complete, but the two small rooms on the second floor are not. Would anyone stay in a hotel room with no bathroom?! Maybe the wasted alley space on the first floor could have been converted to a restroom?
-the palm tree - it feels very out of place in the modular line-up, where you have other birch trees, dark green trees and such.
-The art gallery is too small. If you're going to have that as a feature, it would have been great if the space wasn't the size of a thumb.
Why does the roof have a railing/grating on three of four sides?
-lobby is a little sparse. Two red couches would have been a nice touch.
Again, I do like the set. But there's part of me that feels like I have to buy a second set to make some more satisfying structural changes.

Excited to add to the collection

Highly pleased with this build. The easter eggs never end and there are few repetitive parts. I wish there was some more interior detail but since I don't tend to separate my modular floors I won't see the interior much anyways.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I absolutely love putting together and displaying Lego sets. My latest acquisition was the Lego Boutique Hotel. The set has a total of 3066 pieces. It is definitely the most complex set that I have ever done. It took a total of 12.5 hours over 3 days. I love it! It is such a beautiful set!

This is a great addition to my modular buildings. I especially enjoyed building the hotel lobby, second floor and facade. A lot of cool little details that all tie back to one of the modular buildings in the past which was super fun! I wish they added a little mystery or some other part of the story but overall great set.
