Dandy and cute thermos

I love this perfectly sized, absolutely leakproof and well insulated thermos. It’s comfortable to drink out of and the 12 oz size is perfect for carrying a cup of tea or coffee. I didn’t want a big honking thing to carry around. The splashguard is a nice addition that I didn’t know I needed, but appreciate now that I have it. Take care to get the lid on straight and it won’t leak or get stuck.
It was hard to choose a color though! So many good options. I went with desert rose. A nice bit of joy in these crazy times. I use it every day.

I am a coffee and tea enthusiast looking for plastic free/minimal plastic products. I thought this was going to satisfy that goal.
The splash guard has a plastic knob and the outside of the lid is plastic. I make no distinction between BPA free plastic and plastic in general because there are other harmful compounds that haven’t been regulated out yet in the US. Still it’s better than my last mug in the amount of plastic surface area coming in contact with my drink.
Next, it’s holds smells unless it’s thoroughly washed. That mean I can’t have coffee on my way to work and the rinse it out with hot water and switch to tea without my tea smelling like coffee. Not to mention, it’s not dishwasher safe.
Bottom line, it’s a cool mug to have in rotation, but I won’t be buying another.

Product is leaking with top fully installed, will not allow you to tip over or be in any position other than up straight.
