Very well designed, the extra long spout allows me to pour the water in the center of the grounds. The temperature gauge is important as I did not realize come in the past that I was never getting the water hot enough. Since I’ve been using the temperature gauge on the schedule, my coffee is 1000 times better!

I'm enjoying the Fellow Kettle. The little metal band at the top of the wood handle gets hot and can burn you if you're not careful. This seems like dumb design. It pours great, and it really does change the taste of the coffee if you can control the pour over. I've only had mine for a week or so, and a lot of the reviews complain about the black finish coming off. I'll wait and see.

This was a replacement for my former kettle that somehow disappeared during a move. The kettle is sleek, the low placement of the spout allows for a completely controlled pour and the handle is very comfortable and provides a counter balance that feels natural. I really like the thermometer on the lid as it allows one to adjust the water temp for different types of coffee or even teas. I unpacked my new Matt black kettle, walked into my kitchen, placed it on the stove and told all my other water boiling equipment “Be afraid…be very afraid… you’re about to be replaced!” This is a first class kettle and worth every penny. I wouldn’t have any other.
