Ran all over town looking for a nice replacement desk chair for my wife's office as a Christmas present. No one had anything, so I was reduced to shopping for furniture on the internet. I usually dislike doing so because half the stuff you order online winds up being wrong - a couple of years ago, I ordered a rosewood cello for my wife's Christmas present and when it arrived it was BLUE. But this chair was exactly as advertised. I was resigned that the gift would show up after Christmas since it took me so long to give up and shop online. But the chair arrived two days BEFORE Christmas (and three+ days earlier than the shippers said it would). It shipped in three pieces and so it assembled quickly and painlessly in the freezing backyard as I tried to keep the gift a surprise. She found it reposed by her desk with a bow on Christmas morning and couldn't be more pleased with the chair. It has a little bit of lumbar support, just the right amount if you don't have severe back problems. The color of the material was a rich shade and uniform, as shown in the picture. The material itself is a bit like burlap - not unpleasantly rough, but not velvety or anything. The casters roll very smoothly. If pressed, my only complaint with chair is that it is comfortable but it doesn't rock back at all. (It was not advertised as doing so but I generally prefer chairs that do.) This is a chair for comfortably working in your home office rather than lounging with tea. This reasonably priced chair is a pleasant looking and comfortable addition to a home office. You can get higher end chairs if you're willing to pay more, but as budget chairs go this one is hard to beat on style, class, and comfort. I just wish it rocked back a bit.
