Easy to mount, informative app. Doesn’t have a siren.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was not aware of the Swann brand for home security before getting this window/door alert sensor. I was pessimistic about its functionality yet after setting it up and testing it, I am highly impressed. The components are easy for any novice to set up (the product and app). The enclosed manual provides concise yet detailed instructions regarding setting up the sensors, proper placement on door or window and also how to get started with the Swann app. I highly recommend that you read this through every step of the way to assure effortless and rapid installation and pairing of the device to the Swann App. The sensor comes with 2 AAA batteries, the double-sided tapes, and a tiny Phillips screwdriver to open the battery compartment. When installing the batteries, this will be a good time to set up the app and pair this device since the QR code, needed for this pairing, is in the battery compartment. The app provides thorough instructions for the pairing process and setting up the sensor. Once this is complete, then simply locate where you want to mount this sensor and adhere it to your door or window. It states that the sensor and magnet need to be aligned side by side with less than 3/8” apart. I mounted our sensor on our back sliding door. The frame of our door does not permit for this sensor to be flush with the magnet yet it still functioned as long as they are aligned. The app is very informative. I allowed notifications and it provided timely alerts when the door was opened and closed. Additionally, it provided a graph of these times for each day as well as a weekly readout. Furthermore, by clicking on any of the daily activities, I can see the times the door was opened/closed. The app also provides information on the battery life! This is such a great device to have for peace of mind with youngsters, the elderly or in addition to exterior home security cameras. Because it is wireless and mounts without hardware, it is a portable device as well! The only con is that is does not have a siren but it can be purchased separately. I am planning to get several more for our basement door and windows, as well as for my daughter’s apartment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a little one who has gotten into opening doors even with them locked . This is scary as a parent . I wanted something that could notify me if this was to happen again . Installation of this was super fast and easy. I put it on my back door beings thats the door he opens the most . Anytime that door opens I get a notification immediately on my phone . I can quickly see if it is him or another member of the household . The sticky tabs on the back of the motion sensor sticks really well and I won't have any issues with it coming lose and falling off .

Offers peace of mind for homeowners

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In addition to having video doorbells and cameras set up around our home, we have been wanting to get window/door alert sensors for our lower level back door and windows that don't have any video monitoring coverage due to their location and dark lighting throughout the day. Whenever we go away or are on the upper levels of our house, I find myself wishing I have an alert for the lower level areas that I can't monitor with my house. Well, now I don't have to stress or worry as we have installed Swann Window/Door Alert Sensors, and they bring the peace of mind I have been looking for. They are easy to install and very affordable, so I can be a handful to put on doors and windows around my house. And, if they are tripped, I am notified right on my phone, which I love. I also love how you can build on to these alert sensors with other Swann home security products for a more secure perimeter around your home. I have yet to be disappointed with this brand, and will definitely be adding to our current home security system in the future with this trusted brand. I highly recommend Swann Window and Door Alert Sensors, especially if you are a renter.

Such piece of mind!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Swann - Wi-Fi Window/Door Alert Sensor - SWIFI-WDOOR about a month ago because my son has some health issues that cause him to not understand some dangers. I was worried that now he is getting older, he may try to open the door and go out by himself. We installed this on our front door and we absolutely love it. It was so easy to install and use and the quality is amazing. I now have piece of mind and comfort in knowing that if my son attempts to go out, we have something loud enough to alert us. I also love that it is small and hard to see. It blends in well with my door so it doesn't look off. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a little extra comfort.

Easy security

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We decided to use this sensor on the door that leads from the garage to our side yard and it was has been wonderful! While we haven't had any intruders, we tested it ourselves and it works great. I like the peace of mind this little device gives our family, since that door specifically is farther away from our bedrooms and hard to hear sometimes. Install was easy and while I hope we never actually have to rely on this for security, if that day does come, I'll be glad it's there for us.
