Rubbish. I have to take the batteries out, and put them back in every time I want to use this sensor. My wifi signal is excellent and the batteries are fully charged. When it does attempt to work, it sends alerts all over the shop, and then fail to send any when I actually walk past the door I have it set up on.

Thank you for your question! To stop mobile notifications or activity log alerts for your PIR motion sensor and alarm, follow these steps in the Swann Security App:
1. Go to Modes.
2. Select Edit.
3. Untick "Receive Push".
This will disable push notifications while keeping the system active. If you need further assistance, feel free to email us at tech@swann.com.

This sensor is ok. But it is far too sensitive for external use, which you can't change despite the app suggesting you should be able to. I find the rain triggers the sensor which therefore makes it useless as a notification device.

What is the point of it ?

I have had this now for a while so can give it a fair review Pros : amazing battery life - Easy to install - descrete.
Cons : doesn't send notifications unless app open ? - no temp reading like it advertises. (Misadvertised) - no sensitivity settings - can't link in to cameras to record if triggered -
Conclusion : basically useless toy that does not send a notification unless app open and can't make a camera record .

App only notifications

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I ordered the swann montion senor I didn't realize that it only worked by downloading an app. I was hesitant to even bother with it but I'm happy I gave it a try. It doesn't beep at the senor, only has a blue light that comes on, which is good for testing purposes. The app was pretty easy to load, but I ended up taking it off my phone and putting it on my old phone so that I can keep it in my bedroom and the kids can have it around them. Anyone can also log into the acct on a tablet too, so I can have multiple devices getting the notifications. The range is very wide on what it will pick up and you can adjust it all with the app in the settings. Now when the kids hear the notification they run to the window to see what triggered the alarm. I hear the notification, I'll call the dogs upstairs and put them in my room. They haven't even realized that someone is approaching the house yet and this way I can avoid them barking like crazy when a package is getting delivered.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Product

It responds quickly and notified immediately. It’s been a big comfort knowing we have yet one more thing keeping track of our home’s safety.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Swann - Motion Alert Sensor is easy to set up and comes with 3M adhesive for easy application and removal. It was a breeze to download the app and set up communication between the product and my phone. It definitely works, sometimes a little too well. Any animal that crosses my front yard sends me an alert. They do have a do not disturb setting though which is nice.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the Swann motion alert sensor for a little over a month now. I had other Swann accesories already hooked up so this was a perfect fit for my existing system. This is an excellent motion sensor when you consider value and performance. My Swann system has always been effective so when I built a vault to keep things in my pole barn I decided to put motion sensors in and around the area. This sensor is super simple to install, maybe 10 minutes, and has an amazing range. It covers 180 degrees in front of the safe, and another one covers the entire interior. I don't have it set up in a large area but it easily covers the 20 foot range needed.
