Bought for swimming!

I have not used this for any water activities except for swimming. I really just wanted it to be waterproof and I LOVE LOVE the colors! I was pretty disappointed because I did not find clear explanations of the differences between the Solar version and the one I bought. Specifically I am sad about the missing Garmin Pay feature.

Too complex

I bought this a year ago and I am still trying to figure out what apps I need to down load to get it to work as well as my fit bit. Seems it is not all in one but pieced together with a number of apps.
My plan was to use it windsurfing so knowing the tides is great if it worked all the time.
I am currently using my old golf Garmin while golfing since the distances are right on the watch. I haven't been able to do that with this watch unless I have the app on my phone.

I find that when crossing time changes the watch doesn't update unless you can get a satellite GPS. Hard to do from inside airports.
The good news is that it is waterproof and shock proof.

Great watch and features

Love the watch and the features, however I had to purchase a new band as the watch only came with the smallest size. For the price tag, Garmin should throw in both size bands.

Great watch...

...but didn't work for me. I wanted so hard to make it work. I have cataract replacement lens and the face wasn't bright enough nor enough contrast for me to see without my glasses, which I don't wear when hiking! I opted for the Venu 2S and love it!

The watch band is causing a pretty bad allergy

My wrist is so itchy due to the watch band despite I kept washing both my skin and the watch.. I even have to take it off sometimes to ease the situation..
The watch itself is good though. I used it for running for now. Look forward to the heart rate monitoring during bike rides.
The Garmin connect app had a bug previously that doesn't allow me to edit any watch settings. After uninstalling and reinstalling the app, the problem was gone.

Fun Colors and Great Battery Life!

I purchased this to replace my prior watch. I was looking for something lighter than my previous watch, with external buttons instead of touch face, and features for backpacking, hiking and trail running. This has been a perfect fit. Plus it's awesome that it comes in fun colors! So far the watch has been accurate and it's the first watch I can keep on all day every day without being annoyed. Great purchase.
