Long Battery Life and Easy to Learn!

Been using the Garmin 2S Instinct for about a month for logging runs and workouts. Overall amazing battery life and a plethora of metrics to track recovery, sleep, and stress. Coming from and Apple Watch 5, this was the upgrade I didn’t know I needed.

Bought four weeks ago. I've had a Tom-Tom and two Samsung watches. While i liked them, I think I love my Garmin. Charged twice; once when I opened the box and then 20 days later. I seem to be getting some solar charging but it is still long sleeve and cloudy time here in Cleveland. Health reports are great. GPS when on runs or hikes in the woods is accurate. I love my Garmin InReach Mini 2 and that was a big reason to go with the Instinct Solar. The Garmin Connect app is amazing. Can't wait to take this on my backpacking and upcoming 21 day rafting trips on the Colorado.

Sturdy, Functional, Fun!

I have only had my Instinct 2S Solar a couple of weeks, so I am still learning about all the features and how I want to use it. But even in two weeks, I find myself not wanting to be without it for a minute. And the solar charging and long battery life makes that possible for longer between charges. I like the basic health stats and the extras that help me with my training for long distance hiking. Great watch at an affordable price!

Smaller 40 mm size

I am a previous owner of the Instinct and just love my old watch. This is smaller and the wrist band is much smaller. I am still trying to get used to the differences and the watch face is smaller and has too much information on it. I would prefer to have the option of going back to the face with just 4 fields and larger time numbers. Also, I could push the GPS button and my hiking app would come up first. Now I have to scroll through lots options to hike. Possibly there are ways of reordering the options. Also, the altimeter doesn't seem as accurate. So far (winter) the solar feature has had an opportunity to function much.

The first year I owned this watch I would have given it an 8 because the solar charging is probably more beneficial to someone living in a sunnier place.
Now, 1.5 years old, the battery is de-charging in just a few days and the backcountry ski function is buggy. I can't use it at all. I've followed the bug help advice without luck. I use the mtb function instead and the altimeter function is about 30% off. This high cost product should last longer!

Outstanding watch! Has everything I need with ease is use. I love the app that goes with it as well! I use this watch daily and got it for its feature I can use for hiking in the backcountry and fitness as well. I love setting the barometer alert so I can always keep track of incoming weather. I love that this watch can pair with the Garmin Inreach satellite communicator as well. I highly advise getting the solar feature as well, very worth it!
