Great for Running!

I have had the Garmin Fenix 7 Solar Edition for 3 weeks now and enjoy it. I have about 65 miles of running, and 40 miles of walking recorded and I am very pleased with it's satellite tracking and ease of getting a quick satellite signal.
I upgraded from a Fenix 6, which I also enjoyed, but a big difference is the touchscreen controls on the Fenix 7. The touchscreen controls make the watch easier to use.
The battery life is great for me and I need to charge about once every 10 days based on my use. I use GPS about one hour per day and that uses the most battery in my observations. I have been cold weather running due to living in Minnesota, but in nicer weather I should be getting more benefit from the solar capabilities from the Fenix 7 Solar.
I would recommend the watch if it is in your budget.

First time owner not looking back...

This is the first Garmin watch (Fenix 7 Solar) I have owned, and I am totally blown away by the features and quality. The amount of data collected off of this timepiece far exceeds what I previously had access to with the Fitbit Charge (no complaints). Very happy indeed!

Great watch

Bought it a month ago, awesome features, works very well. Downside is that I’ve still not been able to connect the Wi-Fi. Spoke to support a bunch of times but still not solved. Hope it will as this limits some of the functionalities

I'm currently on day 17 with 11%(approx. 2 days) battery remaining. I've tracked 9 workouts and have had very little solar recharging due to a blizzard and the times of day that I've been outside. This watch is amazing! It will take a while for me to even comprehend everything that it's capable of. I've already recommended it to a close friend who purchased it shortly thereafter. He's been very impressed as well. Now to enjoy some proper adventures!

Excellent watch , Fénix is my favorite Garmin line of watches, my first one was a Fénix 5 that I love and I just replaced it whit the Fénix 7 and I’m super happy with it, has much better coneccion whit my phone and plus all the new features are great I really love this watch and I will have it for a long time

Almost there in most features.

I searched for this watch everywhere, online and at stores. Finally found it at a brick and mortar location. My goal was to get the Fénix 7x sapphire solar but that was not available so purchased the 7 solar. It is a very nice looking watch with loads of features. The information it provides is more than sufficient and similar to an Apple Watch (own one of these as well). The let down, and probably a reason not to spend the extra cash, is the solar feature. There obviously is no reliable information on how much the device benefits from this type of charging as circumstances vary per user, but it does seem, from several reviews (read and watched), that the charging from the solar source is at best minimal on a very sunny day. The sapphire upgrade is another option that seems unnecessary, again per reviews from different sources, as the screen that the normal watch comes with is good enough. Other than that it is an excellent watch with, what is one of the best features so far, a single battery charge that lasts at least a 7 to 9 days depending on usage. The touch screen is also convenient when you are used to a smart watch like the Apple device, and it makes scrolling easier when searching for options. Right now still excited with the purchase, although it is quite expensive, but would still like to try the 7x for the screen and battery size.
