Upgraded and loving it

Had a Fenix 5S for years that I loved, but it was always a little short on trail runs. Definitely not happening anymore. Love the extended battery life and the extra data I get (HRV, sleep score, etc). I also really like the Incident Reporting/Emergency Contact

Data is great...mostly

Love all the different sport tracking options and their accuracy! However the biometric data isn't always accurate so some of the health features (body battery, training readiness, sleep score, etc.) are then somewhat inaccurate as well. Battery life is great compared to my previous Fenix5s! Love Garmin Connect and all the data it has too. Best is if you can find a sale on their watches to save some money though.

Excellent Training Watch

The Fenix 7s is hands down my favorite Garmin yet. I love this watch! It is so capable and such a tremendous training tool for me. It gives me so much great training data that is invaluable. The battery life on this watch is beyond excellent!

Love the Fenix 7S

I switched to this watch from the Apple watch to get more accurate data and have it work in the water. Using the buttons when the touchscreen is wet is a nice feature. I have used it for kiting, hiking, running, and strength and so far I really like what it has to offer. It does take a while to learn how to use the watch but is a really cool product overall. I use the GPS feature daily and charge it for about an hour every few days. The only downside is it does not have cellular data so you cannot rely on it to call for help if you are in trouble and don't carry your phone.

Even better than expected

It was easy to get set up and the companion app is better than expected. GPS is spot on accurate; mapping is small on the face, but also very accurate. I LOVE not having to use my phone to track my hikes, no more worrying that my phone will die before we finish the day. With the battery life of this watch I could do a whole weekend trip and not have an issue! Day trips are no problem at all.
Not thrilled with the face options in the Connect IQ app, but still experimenting. The onboard changeability of the face is pretty amazing even without the downloadable faces.
I do, surprisingly, like the notification function though I thought at first I might not like it. The small vibration is not distracting, but obvious enough that I do keep up better than I did without it.
Still exploring the health features, wishing it had HRV functionality. Also the pulse Ox is VERY picky, it "fails to get a reading" at least 2 out of three times - that is very annoying.
Worth every penny for sure!
