Very happy with this watch thus far. The screen is a major upgrade over the Fenix 6...battery life is just fine. I run mine with the wake up screen, us GPS for 1-2 hour dog walks every single day and am getting 13-15 days battery life. Screen coating has been great. Ability to set up on a phone like a wahoo watch has been great. MTB/Road/cycling have worked well but I still use my head unit. Sleep tracking is on par. HR shows 10% lower than my chest strap/head unit when cycling with this watch. Meshes very well with training peaks(planned workouts/sleep data) and I look forward to using this on a week long backcountry elk hunt this fall. 10/10

This watch truly is epic. Now with the new software upgrade I've even extended my battery another 40%, I suspect mostly from the GPS efficiency. This watch now supersedes and replaces most other fitness trackers. No need for additional hardware, this will cover HRV, training readiness, race prep, sunrise/sunset, track ALL the training, all while looking like a solid watch.

I replaced my Fenix 6 with this Epic Gen2 and love the new watch. There have been some updates to apps but mostly the new screen is worth it. I use my watch for all my activities; golf, skiing, biking, hiking and weight lifting. I love the details I get on all my workouts

I was a Fenix user and loved the watch but when watching reviews comparing the Fenix and the Epix the bright more visible dial caught my eye. With the new Fenix and update I felt obligated to get a watch with functions I didn't want to get the size and DL capacity. I have no need for solar power. Even spending multiple days in the backcountry I have never lost battery with the Fenix or Epix. And if I'm out for a long time I will have a solar panel for other electronics. But I'm more diligent with shutting it off or using battery save mode when not using it. I took a chance on trying this watch and honestly will never go back! It's SO much easier to see the maps! And being able to touch screen to move it is a dream! I hike/climb and backpack. I find myself using the buttons more often then not but love the touch screen for things like that. I was nervous with the 47 size but find it to be SO much more comfortable. If you find yourself in the fence between the 2 and don't care about the solar. But want the maps and space to DL and comfort! Go with the Epix! You will not miss the Fenix!!

Loving this watch and really enjoying tracking all types of outdoor activities- mountain bike, hike, run, strength training. Very customizable with the type of display you would like to see. The battery life has been amazing- up to 14 days with normal use of GPS tracking (~1 hr a day). Great addition for anyone who would like more tracking to their sport activities

I've been in the Garmin fitness ecosystem for nearly a decade and used multiple watches and GPS cycling computers and have dabbled with Suunto (Suunto 7 sucks and their ecosystem pails in comparison to Garmin). I will say this Epix is a fantastic watch that connects to GPS faster than any I've used. There is no lagging when swiping between screens and the battery time is impressive given how much is under the glass. The health metrics that it provides are fantastic and Garmin has come a long way in this tech with this new release. I almost went with the Fenix 7, but the AMOLED display is damn gorgeous in comparison and makes this watch a fantastic every day watch as it has so many bells and whistles. Sure the battery is not near as long as the Fenix, but 99% of my activities I do are sub 20 hours anyways.

I recently replaced my Forerunner 935 with an Epix, what a nice watch, I love the brighter screen and all of the new content.
