An Exceptional Watch

I've used a Garmin FR 945 watch and 1030 plus cycling computer for years. Unfortunately for Garmin, this Epix totally replaces the 945, and can almost replace the 1030 plus. There is seemingly nothing this watch cannot do, and I don't even scratch its capabilities. I use it for daily workouts, swimming, walks, indoor cycling and even mountain biking. It is a bit heavier than the FR945, but after a day or so, it's not noticeable. I wear it 24/7 and find the battery life much better than the FR945 and I don't even really think about having to charge it. It's not cheap by any means, but I have zero regrets in the purchase.

This watch has exceeded my expectations. Many features I am still planning to try out, but GPS syncs fast, the watch runs smooth and everything I need is accessible.
I was debating pulling the trigger, but I am very happy I did. I wear it to work, and use a more simple watch face to match my attire.

While my trusty Garmin Fenix 5x Plus has been a great workhorse with no issues of hard use over 5 years, I wanted to get something a bit lighter and with an improved display.
Out of the box, the Epix 2 performs very well with easy-to-read display and very familiar functionality.
Software app uploads are faster. Battery life exceptional and fit. And finish spot on.
Not one complaint.

Beyond expectations

I have been blown away but what this watch can do and how beneficial I feel that it's already been for my training.
I am a runner, biker, and xc skier and so far have been using the watch to help level my running up. The Garmin Epix has provided me so much great feedback already and I can't recommend it enough. I've been able to both up my pace and intensity - I think I was under training and also diversify my training through feedback from the watch.
The fit is super comfortable, too. I thought I would never wear it at night and I have not only not taken it off, I rarely notice it's on, which is very different from my prior watch.

This is my 1st smart watch, & while I haven't used it extensively yet, it has performed as well as every other Garmin product I have owned. A lot of features (almost too many).
