Great watch

This watch with do just about anything you need in a sports watch. I use this watch running mostly and I add some other categories like ultimate frisbee to keep track of my distance and heart rate. The watch is great for every day use also the battery last a very long time I think sixteen days on a full charge. The epix 2 charges very fast also it is a very hard watch to beat I love it! Best watch I've had.

Throw a bone to the colorblind Garmin

I love my Garmin watch. I love it with all the love in the world. I track my sleep metrics religiously (try it, you'll see... a lot healthier and happier when you focus on getting good sleep!)
Not the point though, for all that love I have around this watch, there is one thing that irritates me every single morning. I am colorblind. Garmin did not do that to me. But they're not helping. This screen is 4 shades of the same color to me. Is it blue? Is it purple, pink? I don't know. Because I am colorblind. So I play a game every morning where I attempt to match the bars to what I think I might have been doing at the time. Last night is a great example. I woke up not long after going to sleep. That early tall bar in my chart must be the color for awake! I do this all the time and it's annoying. Can you please for the love of all things holy just give us non-good-color-people 4 very contrasting colors? Is that too much to ask? I love everything about this watch so much. Just this one stupid thing, that's all.
Bonus brag - I did receive a sleep score of 100. One time. Once and only once. Before that, I thought it was only possible to obtain 100 by coming back from a near death experience. It is possible, probably even for those who see all the real colors. Keep being brave.

From struggling sleeper to marathon hopeful, the Garmin epix‚Ñ¢ transformed my health journey. Its advanced sleep tracking optimized my rest and boosted my energy. The built-in training plan, tailored to my fitness and evolving with me, is my virtual coach, guiding me towards my first marathon.
But the epix goes beyond workouts. It's a health guardian, monitoring heart rate, stress, and even blood oxygen, empowering me to understand and improve my overall well-being. The stunning display, durable titanium, and long battery life are just icing on the cake.
If you're serious about health and fitness, the epix is an investment that pays off. It's my marathon motivator, sleep guardian, and all-around health champion. Try it, and see why you won't want to take it off.

Top Notch Fitness & Outdoor Watch

First smart watch i have owned. I hate items that require a bunch of learning on how to use or setup. This watch pretty much comes ready to take on an adventure straight out of the box. I used it right away for trail running, mountain biking, hiking, etc.
Strengths: Super light on wrist. Barely feel it is there and very comfortable band. Really like how specific the fitness activities are and how it customizes what information to give you based on them. For instance, running vs trail running vs hiking. Battery life is also a major plus. Can confidently say it matches what the manufacturer advertises. Also like that it has physical buttons compared to apple watch. Much more glove friendly to use.
Weaknesses - Optical heart rate monitor not always accurate, especially when not in a selected fitness mode. If you are hoping for some sort of jump in technology that will no longer require you to wear a chest band for accurate heart rate, this is not it.
Sleep stats also not very helpful. The watch bases whether you got good sleep or not almost entirely on how much you moved. For instance, I tend to be a bit of an insomniac while backpacking. Of the 10 hours I was in my sleeping bag, I probably only got 3 hours of sleep. But the watch thought I had gotten the best sleep of my life since I hadn't been moving around. And while it also looks at HR info to judge sleep, as previously stated, the HR info can be wildly inaccurate.
Still an outstanding watch that I would buy again!

Epix Gen2 mostly ok, not great.

Overall a pretty nice watch with lots of features and modes. However, the one feature I wanted it to be great at, heart rate monitoring, its kinda-sorta sucks at. WILDLY inconsistent results (usually way too low for activity level) which does not inspire confidence in its accuracy at all other times. Lots of similar reports after checking reviews on this feature fail. #dissapointed

The Perfect Fitness Tracker for Small Wrist
on November 27, 2023

I chose the EPIX because I was looking up reviews between the EPIX and the FENIX. I found that the EPIX fit better with individuals with smaller wrist. I am a female at 5'2 with a small frame. Functionality and size mattered to me. After receiving the EPIX is one of the best watches that I have owned and it tracks everything I do.

I have had zero issues with the watch. It tracks my swim workouts accurately and breaks down my outdoor runs and activities. I recently used it for a triathlon and won't do anything outdoors without it. This item is more for Intermediate/expert use based on all the functions the watch has. Will suit common watch wearers as it has a sense of style, but is rugged enough for extreme sport users.
