More than I ever knew I wanted or needed, Epix Gen 2

This watch does it all. I know to take some of the metrics as a guidance and not an absolute, but I do like the smart watch features combined with typical Garmin data. I have a Fenix 5x and now this Epix Gen 2, for over a month now. I like the new/improved heart rate monitor, sleep tracking seems to be more accurate than my Fenix 5, and the battery life is great thus far. Great purchase.

Great fitness and sport oriented features with the watch and Garmin Connect app. Amazing battery life, especially compared to Apple Watch and I don't miss any of the "smart" features. Only criticism is that the watch band has to be uncomfortably right for an accurate HR measurement. This is especially noticeable during MTB rides, where there's lots of shaking on my hands and wrists. Might try some other bands to see if it would help.

I love this watch, it's been amazing for me and the battery life is insane! I'd only get a day out of my Apple and then with this I am getting 10-12 days and that's with logging daily cycles or runs with the gps. Super comfy and durable as can be. Don't forget to get a screen protector though!

My first Garmin and loving it after about three weeks. Purchased to track workouts as well as for the GPS/navigation functionality. The epix model and several others also have an adventure race mode in which GPS Is not accessible, so to be legal for adventure race which I participate in.
I find the heart rate monitor quite accurate unless my wrist is very cold (it will under-count and the. Boom, HR spikes after I'm warm enough for the sensor to register.
And what I think really separates this from, say, an Apple Watch is the battery life. I can easily get a week or more and there are ways to extend that much further.

After having a couple of Apple Watches and enjoying their abilities. Hearing multiple recomendations for garmin watches for the health tracking ability and the uses for outdoor activity tracking:hiking, mountain biking etc. I decided to buy one when I found it on sale. After owning this watch for a few weeks now I don't see myself going back to any other watch anytime soon and garmin will very likely be my next watch too.

It has a beautiful display, rock hard screen, and amazing battery life. I do wish it had an always on screen but a willing to accept that trade off for the battery life. I love how the display shows battery life in days left. Definitely full featured and weighs for about every door imaginable.
