This watch does absolutely everything I expected and more. It helps me keep track of all of my workouts and activities. I have found the Garmin golf feature to be incredibly accurate. Gives me exact same yardages as my range finder I currently have. The sleep and recovery tracking on the watch is also phenomenal and way better than Apple Watches.

This watch is as advertised. I use for workouts, sleep monitoring and golf. I've also used the gps for deer hunting. Would get 5 stars but it counts riding on my lawn tractor as steps sometimes.

I Absolutely LOVE My Garmin Epix!!!

I would (and do) recommend this watch to anyone looking for a training watch with lots of great features. I've been very happy with many of the monitoring features such as: training status, training readiness, recommended recovery times, sleep score and body battery. It seems to be fairly accurate and in general aligns with how I am feeling. I do a lot of physical labor, and I have been able to create custom workouts to track heart rate, calories burned and intensity minutes during these activities (e.g., splitting firewood). I'm also amazed at the number of activities preprogrammed into the watch.
My wife and I hike a lot and have loved being able to look back on the stats of a hike. Really cool to see heart rate zones, pace, elevation, and a bunch of other stats throughout the hike. Also, on some more difficult hikes it's been nice to use the GPS to see how far until the finish or a good rest stop. I only golf about once a year but was at a work outing and everyone was jealous of the preloaded course and being able to know distance to layup, sand traps, distance to the green, etc. Very much a casual there but just one more feature that impressed me. I think this watch will have all the features that someone needs and then some.
Last thing I'll rave about is the battery life, without using GPS tracking it lasts over 2 weeks on a full charge. GPS cuts it down significantly but still plenty for even a multiday hike. I'm more surprised when I have to charge it versus some other brands where it was pretty much a daily thing.
Only con/negative I have is the recommended workouts. It's only running based. I'm very physically active, but I never run, so this feature is completely useless for me. It would be nice if it was more general or customizable. I would probably use the recommended workouts, which appear in the morning report, if it said something like 30 minutes of zone 3 heart rate, instead of a recommended run.

A Next Level Watch for the Next Level Athlete

This product is stellar, I've used my Epix for over a year now and here's what I've found. For the athlete who values an array of accurate activity options, a stunningly bright display, and enough features to satisfy any data junkie, this watch is fantastic top to bottom. The Epix is100% for the athlete looking to take their game to the next level and man does it deliver. Personally, the sleep tracking, body battery, and HRV features help to keep me up to speed on the hidden metrics of my body. The battery life is absurd and quite frankly unrivaled for a watch of this caliber, I feel like I could jump start a car with my Epix if I had to. The interface is incredibly accessible, and despite having enough insights to last me for weeks, I've never felt overwhelmed with all the metrics my Epix could display. The pricetag is hard to swallow but the value is undeniable. With the quality I've come to expect from Garmin, I wouldn't be surprised if my Epix becomes an heirloom. Well done Garmin!
