Nice. But I sent it back.

I liked the watch and wanted to keep it. But I ended up sending it back because it was too bright at night. On the lowest setting when the screen would wake up it would be bright.enought to wake me up.
I wish there was a way to dim it down even more.

Excellent New Product

The features on this smartwatch are first rate. The AMOLED display is very easy to read compared to the MIP display on the Fenix models. There is a small tradeoff in battery life with the new display. If you do not mind charging more frequently, the AMOLED display with its higher resolution, expansive color palette and brightness is well worth it.
The unit has essentially the same functionality as the new Fenix models and the same UI.

I really wish that this series came in a 51mm version. I have used a Fenix 6X Pro for several months and am very partial to the larger face. I ultimately returned the Epix and will stay with my 6X Pro until Garmin decides to offer a 51mm version. Come on Garmin-You can do it!

A Leap forward

The new AMOLED screen + the killing features of the Fenix 7 makes this watch such a leap forward. The screen is beautiful, and the responsiveness is great, like an Apple Watch. I'm experiencing a three day battery life under heavy use, so I'm incredibly happy with the battery performance. GPS accuracy is insanely good.

Bought this watch the day it came out and it has not disappointed. Absolutely love the display and feel like the Bluetooth connection is better than my 6s and am just SO happy I jumped on it. The watch has amazing display and looks great and love the red bezzle as well. Would always recommend.

Great upgrade to Fenix 3HR

I've had a Fenix for several years, but never really liked the too-dark screen. Love the Epix2. The screen is brilliant and additional, modern Garmin functionality makes it a more useful smart watch. I haven't really gotten into the habit of trying to use the touch, but when I do, it is nice.
My only small gripe, is that it seems overly aggressive about going into power/burn-in saving mode. It turns on when I move my wrist to look at the face, but sometimes it will flip right back to the power save mode. The one setting I found didn't seem to make a difference. The other issue is that I find it maybe a little small--I think I have been used to the slightly beefier Fenix and this now seems slim. Face size is nice, but I'd like a wider band.

Long time Fenix owner in love with the Epix

Bought this on release day received it very shortly after. I have owned every Fenix watch from the original to the 6x Pro Solar. The Epix is by far the best Garmin watch I have ever owned. The screen is absolutely gorgeous. I love having the ability to use the touch screen for day-to-day use and shut it off during activities. The AMOLED screen is a major game-changer for me as I have owned apple watches and loved their screens. If you are on the fence between an Epix and the latest Fenix 7 I would strongly suggest going with the Epix, you will not be disappointed.

Much improvement compare to Fenix 6. The display is awesome. Battery is better than the Fenix 6. Still can't detect afternoon nap. :(
