Hardware Great, Software Horrible

Having now owned my Epix 2nd Generation Standard Edition for about 2 months, I can say the watch itself, is amazing, however the operating system and related apps and software are the worst. Not intuitive at all. It's taken at least a month, many hours of tech help on the phone, YouTube videos, Google searches just to feel somewhat comfortable navigating the watch. I know a few people who got rid of their Garmin watch because it wad so difficult to navigate. The OS itself, takes up over one half of my watches memory. Then, if you want a map, the smallest map you can download is the entire United States. That alone uses up almost the rest of the memory, leaving no room for anything else. It's as if the folks developeing the apps don't actually do any of those activities.

I am the last person to give a review on this kind of product. I only use the watch to see who is calling, Texting and Alarm clock. Being able to keep working and not having to stop to see whats going on is a plus for me. So, why did I buy this big thing is because I can find it easly in the morning. lol

Sapphire glass poor performance

I wanted to love this watch but Garmin's almost immediate upgrade after I purchased combined with poor performance of the sapphire glass ultimately led to disappointment. Tried to use this as the "nice watch" with leather strap and ultimately the display just didn't hold up, which is odd because I've owned no less than 5 other sapphire versions of Garmin watches and the others performed really well.

Was expecting more

Watch is good but I was expecting more features and a better HR monitor. Text messaging only allows preset message respond. HR monitor becomes inaccurate while running on treadmill for over 20 minutes

Bought to replace my Apple Watch and so far it’s been fantastic! I’m learning more about myself than I ever did with the Apple Watch. The integration with apples system isn’t the most seamless but I like the product so I’m sticking with it.
