Great Display

I purchased the epix gen 2 for the Amoled display. The maps are of great detail for hiking. The battery life is great for a minimum of 5 days no matter how active you are, and will last the normal person a week. Very happy with my purchase.

Everything I wanted.

Excellent product. My main considerations for the Epix were the mapping and navigation features. Versus the Fenix, I especially appreciate the brightness of the sceen, even in direct sunlight and the level of detail on the maps. While the battery life takes a hit compared to the Fenix, my use case doesn't require more than a day or two of battery life, and currently between mapping multi-hour mtb rides, general workouts, all-night Spo2, and always on display I'm still getting 5 days of battery.
The only disappointment for me was that I didn't quite understand the need for external sensors to take advantage of some of the features. For example: I can get a VO2 Max for running, but this doesn't transfer to mtb without a power meter. Same for the stamina feature. Won't transfer to mtb without a power meter.

Excellent watch

I have been using Garmin watch for years. A couple of Forerunner and one Fenix 3. The Epix Gen 2 is the best by far. Beautiful display. Watch offers 6 days of power how I use it. And it charges very quickly (almost complete charge during a shower). The features are great for training. The display is easy to read when running which was a complaint for the fenix watches. I would recommend this watch. It is a pricey watch but I think it is worth it.

Better than my Fenix 6 Sapphire.

With the execpetion of some new-fangled features that I have not yet used, the Epix performs just as good as my Fenix6Sapphire. The best (best!) feature is the AMOLED screen. I can now read the face of the watch regardless of watchface or activity page I am using. If AMOLED was the only difference, I would still opt for the AMOLED. One thing I am needing to get used to is the touch screen capability. Sometimes I forget and unwittingly change the screen.

Love my new Epix 2

I’m coming from an Apple Watch S6 and I’m so glad I made the switch to Garmin. I feel I have a much better understanding of my training readiness and results.
My only regret is that I did not wait a couple of weeks. I ordered white but would have much preferred grey (which very recently) became available.
