Loving it so far

I've been using this for a few days and it is a huge upgrade from my other watched. Planning to do a small hike with my kids this weekend. Update to my review.. I don't think I'll ever own another brand of watch again. So many features and benefits I can't even begin to explain how useful this watch is for my needs

Actually improves your life

I bought this for bird hunting and training, but in using it I've found The Garmin Fenix 7 has the power actually to change your life for the better. I'm a sucker for data and competitive at heart, so the gamification of health stats like HRV, VO2 and sleep have led me to make lasting changes to my daily routine and I expect, lasting improvements to my overall health, longevity, and quality of life.
As compared to the Epix, screen brightness is somewhat lacking, but that comes at a tradeoff to battery performance. I look forward to better options in the future.
The auxiliary flashlight on the 7x is awesome compared to the 7, which only uses a white, backlit screen for backup admin light. This feature should be on every model in the future.
finally, Garmin's modifiable widgets are awesome, allowing you to customize data screens for specific activities, but options where HIIT or crossfit-style workouts are concerned leave a little to be desired. A ruck option would be awesome too.
Dog tracking functions are what I came for & they leave very little to be desired, but whenever garmin allows us to program tone or stim from our watches, I'll be swiping my card once again.
Overall, I HIGHLY recommend the Fenix line. Get yourself a Garmin, do your RX'd runs & live longer and better than you otherwise would've.

This is my favorite watch that I've ever owned. The battery life is incredible, even while navigating and using maps. I use the workout recommendations daily. It took some time to figure out how to use it to it's full potential, but well worth it.

I'm in week 2 of my new watch. So far it's proven to be very capable and accurate. Still many functions to learn but the menu system is easy to use.
