Huge upgrade from my old watch!!

Snagged the Fenix 7 on sale for a great price and haven't regretted it for a second! Coming from a Fossil Gen 6 and Wear OS, I wasn't sure how it would stack up at first, but let me tell you I would never go back now! The battery had about 3 days charge left after 2 weeks of using the watch, compared to having to charge my Gen 6 2 or 3 times every day just to avoid killing the battery overnight while I tracked my sleep.
The amazing battery life alone would be enough, but there is more, as well. I enjoy the MIP display that uses that transflexive (sp?) technology to create a low-battery AOD as long as there is some light shining on the watch. It works really well and allows my watch to be dark at night while I sleep. Clever tech, that!
And the software and OS for me are the clincher! My Gen 6 was laggy and buggy and stuttered all the time. The Fenix 7 is smooth as butter, which it should be for it's price! Well, It definitely delivers. There are so many workouts you can track and the sleep and body battery features are especially helpful to me.
Downsides would be: the size of the watch for people with smaller wrists. It fits mine fine, but it is a 47 mm timepiece and it is fairly thick as well. It also doesn't let you answer phone calls or respond to messages on the watch itself. I am ok with that, since I always have my phone with me anyway! Finally, there aren't as many apps and not nearly as many watch faces for the Fenix 7, but the face out of the box is enough for me and I don't need a lot of apps on my watch, anyway.
For the things I care about in a smartwatch, the Fenix 7 is absolutely perfect for me! If you want outstanding battery life and stable, fluid software, ditch Wear OS and buy a Garmin!
I would recommend this to a friend!
