Great watch

Keeps me motivated to work out more and sleep better. Pretty good tracking with gps for hikes/runs/rides. Good battery life. Interface takes a little practice to get used to partially due to all of the features it has. Definitely recommend, especially for those looking for a smartwatch with lots of functionality. Seems to be much better for athletes than an Apple or Samsung product. Even allows you to download some Spotify for music while working out

I've been using this watch for about a month and it has been stellar. It has way more features than any one person could ever use, which makes it great for a wide range of people and hobbies. It is pricey, but can be worth the investment

I've been using this for roughly a month at this point. For context, I was coming from a Suunto 9 Baro, and this is a big step up. Battery life is excellent, the watch is sharp looking, and I've been amazed at the amount of data it collects. Living at 8,000 ft. and regularly getting up higher, the altimeter and acclimation estimates are pretty neat too.
So far, I've used for mostly running, hiking, and winter sports. But sleep tracking and overall wellness features are pretty neat too - I can now quantify how much that beer or two after dinner impacts my sleep.
Only thing I wish was different so far: I haven't bothered to track any weight lifting workouts because it seems like you need to manually start each set, which feels cumbersome. All other activities are just press start and go - wish I could find a similar option for weight training.

Excellent GPS Watch with crazy long battery life

I've had this watch since April when the 7's first came out and I really can't say enough good things about it. I owned the Fenix 5 before and really liked it, but I knew there had been significant improvements to both the GPS tracking and battery life. To be honest I seriously considered switching brands last year to another company whose watches had longer battery life than my Fenix 5 at a reasonable price, but I really enjoy my Garmin and was hoping they would step up their watches, especially in battery life. I've owned multiple Garmin gps watches since my Forerunner 225 and the improvements to the products and the Garmin Connect app have been so consistent. I ultimately decided to stick with Garmin because I've seen their dedication to improving the app as well as being happy with my watch and the user friendly app integration. While that other brand's watches are nice, I don't think their app is up to par with Garmin Connect. I made the switch from the Fenix5 to the Fenix7 because of the GPS accuracy and battery life and both have been stellar! I run trail ultras and can see the improvement of the tracking by looking at the maps from the same race I ran with my Fenix5 and Fenix7. I also run a few very long races that can typically take me over 24 straight hours so battery life in GPS mode is very important. Many of us runners had mastered taking off our watch mid-run and connecting it to a portable battery pack, but in my most recent race I never had to touch my new Fenix7! Over 100 miles in almost 28 hours with regular GPS mode and wrist based heart-rate on and I still had 32% battery life left when I finished! My Fenix5 typically ran out around 20 hours in the same setting. I really wanted the new Epix, which is basically the Fenix 7 with a beautiful AMOLED screen, but just couldn't justify the price difference. I paid full price at the time (which I never do for anything! üòÅ) so the price difference steered me towards the Fenix. While I would love that bright Epix screen, I'm very happy with the excellent tracking and battery life of my Fenix7! The new Apple Watch Ultra might be beautiful but the functionality for endurance sports just isn't equal to Garmin yet. I'd love to compare the Epix with the Apple Ultra and see how they match up. ...Garmin just recently added some new software features which make the watch even more awesome! One more thing I love that is really important to many others and why I'll be purchasing the 7s for my wife is the new "Assistance" feature that isn't on the Fenix 5. This allows you to set up contacting emergency contacts with your location by the push of a button.

Great upgrade from an older model

Syncs fast, long battery life, 1000 features. What's not to like? I use it mostly for MTB. Some features require an external heart rate monitor.

Cant wait to get my own, borrowed a friends and was amazed at the data it can collect.

Was surprised how accurate the readings were at the end of my ride. Cannot believe us used 105 watts of power on the mountain bike ride yesterday. It used the data from my heart rate and data from strava to give me my relative effort for the ride also.

A watch with lots of bells and whistles. You have to take the time to learn how to use them.

I have been using Garmin watches since 2007. The new Fexix 7 is great. I love the touch screen when I'm not training. Works great with my apple phone. Looks great too. I bought this watch for ultra running. I love the long lasting battery. The screen is clear and had multiple uses. I've been using it for hiking, running and biking. Great watch! I recommend this watch for every activity.
