Love the top fill ability of this humidifier, especially that it stands by itself and my wife and I don’t have to sit there and hold it. Lighting choices is also great as we use this in our bedroom.

Failed in 2 years almost to the day

Worked for a year and 11 months of infrequent use. Started randomly dumping water everywhere occasionally as the fan started to fail. The fan has since completely stopped and it is now a large wet paperweight.
Also the UV feature does nothing to help keep the tank bacteriostatic, which is what I had hoped initially.

Not worth the money or hassle

We got our first Winix L200 about a year ago. We bought it to replace an older model that was about 4 years old
(and gave us no trouble so we ordered this one). After a couple of months, the new one emptied all of it's water
onto our bedroom floor!! We contacted Winix and they instructed us to box it up and send it back for replacement.
They replaced it with one that appeared to be a refurbished unit. In less than a month, it stopped working properly.
They instructed us to return that one and sent us another one (this one was new). As it says in their manual, you
have to clean it weekly or else it won't function properly (so we have done that because after a week it tells you
it's out of water eventhough it isn't). After cleaning, it would run well for about a week and then I would clean it again.
Last night I filled it a little more than half way and turned it on (it was functioning well when I left the room). When I
went to bed about 4 hours later, it had emptied it's entire contents (but ever since the first one that did this, I have put
a pan under it to be on the safe side). Our original one we had for 4 years never gave us a problem......obviously
something has changed in the design/workmanship. My advice to anyone thinking about buying this humidifier
would be DON'T unless you enjoy having your floors soaked and cleaning up the mess and spending all your time
babysitting it.
