Cameras work amazing and when you replay can zoom into crazy close but for some reason 2 of the 4 go black and white at night. Can't seem to have these 2 cameras color 24/7.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This can be for one of a few reasons, including the camera being pushed out further from the DVR, a bad power adapter or a bad power splitter. We hooked this DVR up to another set of cameras already hard wired in our home. (That system was through Q-See who apparently went out of business during the pandemic. The DVR we had for the Q-See system had started making noises and we believe the fan was starting to go). This works perfectly EXCEPT our TV is only HD and we didn't realize it needed to be a 4K in order to put the program onto the TV itself. It works fantastically though via our mobile devices and that actually has been working out well. The DVR is quiet. Eventually we will install the four cameras that came with this DVR.

Its Simple Plug and Play. The result of this DVR depends on the CAMERA. I have (4) 960H Camera (4) 1080P Camera and (8) 4k Camera I was not sure but Now I am very happy with the purchase and the results of this DVR.

I bought this to replace my THD system when it's Hard Drive failed. Night Owl Marketing was great in providing a compatible system that didn't require that I replace all my old cameras. Simply unplugged the old and plugged in the new using the same connections.

I have been using Night Owl security systems for 15 years. My first unit was a 8 camera wired dvr, my second was a 16 a camera wired unit. This is my third unit, a 16 camera wired unit with the option to add four additional wifi cameras. I hope that it performs as well as the first two, my only worry is that it runs hot as it does not have an internal fan as my first two systems did. This may shorten the lifespan of the unit.
