good case bad design

I have always had the strada case for my iphone. In my opinion its the best case you can get. Unfortunately who ever designed this one missed the mark. The materials feel cheap, design to open is complete nonsense if you don't have saber tooth claws amd the magnet is to strong on the back. Good luck opening with one hand. Great case idea poor craftsmanship.

I love these cases but they over-streamlined this one. The lack of a tab on the case makes it hard to open and the cover shifts in my pocket. Not as good a protector and case as the 11 or even the 8plus. The 8plus version was the best with the option to sit on desk open. Also, this version keeps turning my volume down with the way the case is made when I put it in my pocket. Take back to drawing board. I may have to find an alternative.

Downgrade from previous Strada models

It seems like otterbox forgot what made the Strada stand out against other folios, no more easy open, no more one hand use, and now the added bonus of wild volume spikes!
Pros:
+ Flap covers the whole screen
+ Camera bezel stands slightly proud of the lenses
+ Material is a good balance of shock absorption and longevity

Cons:
- flap magnet sticks to the back stronger than the screen
- no tab on the flap for opening one handed
- no MagSafe option (ready to modify myself)
- vol. buttons bumps cause accidental presses when powering off (several screenshots per day)
- vol. button bumps cause accidental presses in pocket
- Camera bezel interferes with MagSafe rings for adding MagSafe back to cases.

Overall, I can’t recommend this case to anyone, it’s far too expensive when you consider all the modifications necessary to make it usable. I should’ve have to think about how I hold my phone when I power it off, shouldn’t have to use two hands on the new model when all the old ones were one hand, shouldn’t have to buy an add on to use a feature my case cancels out on the thousand dollar phone I bought. This is all ridiculous when you consider the history otterbox has, and the infrastructure they have for testing. Why is the designer worse today than 5 years ago?
PS: if it’s too late for you, I designed a plastic insert for opening the screen one-handed, I’ll post it to thingiverse.

I wanted a wallet like case to hold a few cards and I like the case but am dissatisfied that it scratches easily and it’s only two days old. I should have chosen the black case not the brown.

Yikes, we're sorry to see (literally) that your new Strada Series case has been marred by such scarring right out of the gate. Although the case does have an anti-scratch coating applied to it, the types of materials it comes into contact with and the amount of pressure involved can still be a factor in something like this.

Cards fall out

Handsome case but after a couple months use cards fall out. The lining has worked loose too. This should be replaced by Otterbox, but buyer beware. I bought before reviews were available. Now I see the reviews are pretty bad.

Your Cards Will Fall OUT!

I really wanted to love this. When I first got it, it was perfect. The magnetic enclosure was just enough to keep things stable and secure. But after a few months, people kept tapping me on the shoulder and handing my ID or my credit card back to me because it fell out. If you run with your phone, be very careful. I have only ever put two cards in this and the material just stretches. Not sure what the fix is but you have to be extra careful. Complete leather versions of other folios seem to be more secure.

It cannot be closed with the two credit cards inside without the case changing the volume buttons. I hope it will stretch out, the one for my 6 was wonderful! Not happy right now.
