Replaced this case within a week of ownership didn’t like that it too screenshots every time I put it in a pocket and the closure failed immediately

I bought this cover for my new phone recently because Otterbox products provide great protection for my previous phones. However, this particular one scratches easily and already looks older than several weeks old. I will buy another otterbox, but not this beautiful brown leather one.

Don't believe the negative reviews...

This case is amazing. I am baffled by the negativity people leave in these reviews, for what is a premium case.
1. They improved this significantly over the iPhone 11 Pro version, which the cover didn't close flush and the case allowed debris to get in between it and the phone... They fixed both of those problems with this case... it's super tight around the phone to the point no debris gets in at all, and the front cover from the very beginning closed flush like it should.
2. As for the tab being removed, there is now a small notch in the perimeter of the case that serves the same purpose that the tab did. I actually prefer this for a few reasons, one of which is that it results in a sleeker look to the case without having a big tab sticking out. I also believe that it is why the cover fits so securely now as opposed to previous generations of the case.
Overall I suggest you try it for yourself, and ignore the negative reviews... I've owned three of these now, and the iPhone 13 pro max version is the best one yet... with the iPhone 11 Pro version being the worst, in my opinion. Would recommend to family / friends / anyone.

Volume buttons on this case dysfunctional

I usually love the folio cases from otter box. But this one is driving me crazy because the volume buttons on the side are constantly being pushed by the case. Which seems like a minor inconvenience but it’s actually a huge problem when my volume all of a sudden goes from silent to as loud as possible and frightens my sleeping kids at 9pm. Plus I can’t put my phone to sleep without taking a screenshot because, yep, that volume button is always being pushed.
Also the old folio cases used to be able to prop up but they took that away…. Whyyyyyyyyy. That feature was so helpful. If they fix these issues I would definitely buy this again but I cannot deal with the volume button issue anymore.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

3 Replacements In 6 Months

This case is terrible now. I've purchased this case for the last 3 generation of phones I've owned and used to love it. With this model I have only experienced issues. The lining of the folio behind the cards eventually loosens and pulls out making the cards prone to fall out. The edges of the case dont fit snuggly, allowing the phone to lean out just enough to expose the screen on a fall. The buttons aren't aligned properly and press with the slightest pressure. This case used to be amazing but with the company's quality cuts it is absolutely not worth the cost.

Great case, missing benefits of the phone in it.

Bought this case because I had the same one for my last phone. The magnet closure is improved, the cards fit great. My issue is there is no magsafe compatibility, a feature that has been around for 2 iphones already. I’m also having issues with wireless charging. The case is perfect if you don’t care about wireless charging and magsafe.

Although we do make several case models that will fill this need, none have a folio cover, so we'll be sure to share your interest in such an option with our design team!
As for the wireless charging, if you're using a MagSafe charger, that one won't work, but the case has been tested and confirmed compatible with standard Qi wireless technology. That being said, results can vary depending on what base is being used. Have you tried the OtterSpot Wireless Charging System? Although there will be others that would also work, this one will definitely help to keep things amped up!

I love the case. Always like to have a flap in the front over the screen. Not only to protect but to keep me from constantly checking it.
Sadly though it does not work with MagSafe. it’s not a deal breaker but I hope the next version addresses this like other cases in their line up.
