Great product, outside customer service!

Love my hearing aids. Great product. Would just suggest having an on-off switch. Miserable having to take them off to leave the battery case open to do so. I've called customer service a few times, about an invoice issue and they have been outstanding! Very polite and very responsive!

Different But Good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had hearing loss since I was a young girl. Have never used any type of hearing device before. It took me several days to get the hearing aids to pair. I actually had to use an old phone to get them to work. It was quick and easy to get them setup once I switched to a different phone. Definitely had some itching in the beginning, but read that was normal and it did subside. It seems so different with these in because I feel like I'm talking really loud and everything seems to echo. I think I need to take more time adjusting the different volume settings. I have only worn these for 2 days, so I am still trying to get used to all these new sounds and the difference in clarity. It sort of makes me feel a little off, but I'm sure this is normal for someone with a hearing loss for the last 43 years. My son sure is excited and so happy he doesn't have to feel frustrated because of having to repeat himself over and over, and I am grateful for that. No more pretending like I know what someone said, now I can actually give a proper response.

Clarity and Hearing in one package

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Bose Hearing Aids at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review.
Upon apprival, I opened the box to find a nice pod that stores the hearing aids for travel convenience when not in use, and some cleaning accesories. After reading over the instruction pamphlet I installed a battery in each device and snapped the battery tray shut. Next I downloaded the Bose Hearing App onto my cell phone. This is required to properly setup the hearing aids to suit your needs, and the app makes it easy to adjust them in different situations. However, it is OK if you forget your phone the hearing aids will still continue to work and have volume control on the top of them to adjust.

However, it is OK if you forget your phone the hearing aids will still continue to work and have volume control on the top of them to adjust.
Following setup instructions on the app I sat in front of a television to adjust the volume and tone to my needs. It worked so well it brought tears of joy to my face, finally I could clearly hear even with the white noise of a window a/c running. The app also has a feature for front/everywhere which allows the user to select front for a one on one conversation facing a person and it will filter out on background noise behind them. I used this feature talking with family during cross conversations, and while ordering dinner in a noisy restaraunt and it worked great. The everywhere feature is where the device truly shines, you can hear a tiny pill drop on the floor and distant conversation is no longer hard.
Going to the movies was a whole new experience and required turning it down actually, but I was able to hear every word of the movie and experience true surround sound. Overall I think the only problem I had was with wind, if I drove with a window open it was a little bothersome and I had to put it up, or if a gust of wind blew I couldn't understand a person and had to wait for it to pass.
The batteries last four days as advertised, but Bose suggests opening the battery tray to extend the time. I got almost 3 days without doing so. I think there is room for improvement hear in the next model, ear buds have an auto-off feature when removed from the ear. The hearing aids could go to stand-by for battery conservation and then you simply press the volume button to bring them back online. Overall I give these and A+ and would recommend them to anyone who is hard of hearing.

From the moment I put them in, they fit perfectly and cleared up sounds I’ve not heard in years. These are so easy to put on and unless you are looking closely, you can’t even see I’m wearing them. Positives and Negaitves

I am pretty experienced with hearing aids as this is my 5th pair in the last 6-7 years. My hearing loss is mild to moderate. I can hear conversations just fine as long as there is not excessive noise around me.
First the positives.
1. These are the best fitting aids i have had. When i wear them i forget they are on. The wires are firmer than other aids which i really like.
2. Unlike all the other traditional aids i have used these let you "balance" right and left ear.
3. They were able to sync with my phone with little effort.
4. Most aids only offer a few levels (e.g. 6-7) for the volume. These offer many more gradations for the volume.
5. My other hearing aids had to be adjusted by an audiologist if i wanted to change the treble or base. These give you the option to change treble or base from the control on your phone.
6. Note that like all other aids i have tried, when you turn them off (open the battery chamber) they return to the factory preset so each time you put them on you have to personalize your adjustments.
7. Like traditional aids they offer some levels of adjustment. For example, you can have them sense 360 degrees or you can have them focus on what is in front of you. You can also set them for conversation, for TV, as well as a couple of other settings.

1. For an average person the battery compartment will be easy enough to open and close (if you leave it closed over night it will drain the batteries). For someone less nimble it may be a bit of a challenge.
2. Other hearing aids have a "signal" when you put them on to alert you they are working. However, once on you can tell these are on so that may not be an issue.
3. Other hearing aids "click" when you increase or decrease the volume. These do not.
4. While you can sync them to your phone to adjust them, they do not work for phone calls or stream music from your phone.
5. They tend to have more "feedback" issues (squealing sound) when turned up high. This has not been an issue but at times i am aware of it.
6. I have not discovered how the aids alert you when the batteries run low. So far i am on my first set of batteries. With other aids they beep when getting low or how in the phone app that they are getting low. I did not see anything with the Bose that indicates that.

Bottom line, if you want a simple solution without having to deal with an audiologist (which i have found a bit unpleasant as their goal is to sell), give these a shot. With a 90 day trial period there is little to lose.
I am still in the testing phase and comparing these to the other aids that i use, but so far I am likely to keep them.

Great Bose SoundControl Hearing Aids!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very impressed by the Bose Sound Control Hearing Aids. The hearing aids were so easy to setup, after I downloaded the app on my iphone, and paired it with the hearing aids. I also really liked that I can customize the hearing aids sound control to what I'm doing at the time, like if I'm watching TV, there is a pre-set mode so that I can easily select it on my phone. Actually, there is four pre-set modes that include; focused conversation, outdoors, music, and for television, but you can always fine-tune the sound you hear to your liking, and save that mode for the next time you need it. The Bose hearing aids are very light and comfortable, and they fit very well behind my ear, all though, I did have to get use to the receiver being in my ear, because my ear drums were feeling so itchy, but after using them everyday for about a week my ears got used to having the receiver inside. So, over-all I have to say the Bose Sound Control Hearing Aids do a great job for someone like me, that has a moderate hearing impairment, but I still think that Bose needs to do a better job of improving the voice clarity of the hearing aides , rather than just having the amplification technology of the World volume, and the treble and base parameter adjustments.

Easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The setup is pretty straightforward. The only tricky part is the cable size measurement and eartip selection. Being an Asian, I'm not sure if the default fits me. Fortunately it did. Speech is clear with some distortion at the higher volume levels (>65). Feedback is minimal. For me, the overall amplification could be better, when compared to prescription-only hearing aids that I own.
The app is user friendly but basic. It would good if the app provides the ability to customize the amplification based on a self-administered tone test.
Overall, I would recommend these hearing aids as an alternative to prescription-only hearing aids for people with mild to moderate age related hearing loss.

Amazing aids!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely amazing product! These hearing aids are great straight out of the box. No fuss. No fiddling. Just great sound. Bose sound at that! Straight out they're all ready to go just make sure the fit is good, pop them on and voila the world sounds pretty again. They fit so well and you hardly notice they are there nor does anyone else. They aren't heavy or clunky and even if you do see them they aren't an eyesore. Absolutely beautifully done. They're easy to use as in sync with the app. I have an android and had no trouble downloading and running straight through to get them ready to go. Process was easy to learn and fun to play with when adjusting the bass and treble for each ear ear as well as the volume. I found it interesting the difference between the two volumes on each ear. They do not interfere with my cell but enhance my quality of calls. Overall a great product. These hearing aids are phenomenal! Battery life is pretty good. I definitely can't complain about that it seems like mine last forever. At least two days per set.
