Waiting for the BOSE Hearing Aids …..forever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I lost my hearing in April 06 from a gun shot accident. Since I am a volunteer pilot for Angel Flight, I purchased a Bose noise canceling headset and was extremely impressed with the quality of the product. Clear crisp hearing. In 2012 I started volunteering at Sun ‘n Fun and made it a point to visit the Bose booth. Based on continuing improvements, I upgraded to the 2nd generation and finally the A20 headset. I always asked the representative when Bose was going to make hearing aids. Based on the technology and hearing quality of the aviation headset, I was hoping that Bose would be able to offer the same with a hearing aid product. Because of Covid-19, Sun ‘n Fun was canceled in 2020 and I was unable to attend the 2021 show. So, I was not able to see what was new at Bose.
I recently, just 2 weeks ago, had a complete audiology work up and was informed that my current set of hearing aids we’re not working properly and needed to be replaced. That’s when I Googled…”Bose hearing aids” and discovered they were available. I read all of the Bose information and immediately ordered a pair. Having 15 years experience with hearing aids, I knew what I was looking for in a replacement set and I am extremely happy with my Bose Hearing Aids. After using them for a week, I can report that Bose has developed and produced a quality product. Additionally, providing the consumer with the ability to fine tune our hearing aids with the iPhone app, is brilliant. In all of my daily tasks, restaurants, talking with neighbors outside, watching TV, the Bose hearing aids are exceeding my expectations. Looking forward to attending an “Eagles” concert.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these about 3 weeks ago. I was using a pair of in the ear amplifiers from an internet supplier for a few months. they were ok but one kept sliding out and would not hold a charge. The Bose are nicely adjustable for my hearing needs. I was worried about them being behind my ear but they sit on my glasses without a problem. When wearing a mask, it just takes a little care when removing it. Batteries are lasting about 2 1/2 days at about 16 hour long wearing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Do not pass these up because you think you. have a “ severe loss “ I am an MD that for many years has had a more than “ moderate “ loss. These are far beyond what I expected and I turn them down to half volume and hear better than I did 50 years ago .

As good as the $6000 hearing aid I sent back

difficult to use for the elderly

The small size and aggressive clasp made it difficult to open/close the battery compartment for our elderly mother. The on-device volume control also difficult for her to use. A rechargeable version might be better. We returned the product for a refund.

This is my second week with these hearing aids and so far i am extremely pleased with them. They are everything that Bose said they would be and more. The cost is almost unbelievable compared to what i paid for my previous hearing aids 5 years ago, which never really improved my hearing at all.

Very good in loud places

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these a couple weeks ago and like them very much. They are much more comfortable than the hearphones that I had and are barely visible. They allow me to participate in conversations in a noisy environment better than other hearing devises, although not quite as well as the hearphones. So far a good product.
