Excellent value

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used the Bose SoundControl hearing aids for about a month. These hearing aids offer better quality hearing than my previous very expensive hearing aids. Easy getting started with these, just put a battery in and start using. The app for controlling the volume and mode is simple, yet effective. I’d recommend these for basic better hearing. Not many bells and whistles, but a lot of value for the money.

Happy with my new hearing aids. I can hear the birds in the trees. That is a sound I have not heard in years. Thank you Bose.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over many years, I’ve had 3 different sets of expensive hearing aids purchased through audiologists. Voice sound & clarity is superior in Bose product!

A good start

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My hearing has been slowly declining due to poor or no protection when it was necessary and my age. I constantly have to ask people to repeat themselves and need to have the sound turned up on whatever I'm listening to. I know it's only going to get worse. I've thought about hearing aids before, but the cost always seemed so prohibitive. Now that the FDA has opened this up to allow companies to make over-the-counter hearing aids, they will become more accessible when it comes to price and availability (i.e. not having to see a specialist). Bose is on the right track to making an excellent product. When I received the hearing aids, I immediately opened the package. As most higher end companies do, the unboxing experience was pleasant. The hearing aids and accessories are all very nice, and were quickly put aside while I perused the instructions. I followed the guide and quickly adjusted the hearing aids and outfitted them with the tips I felt would be the most comfortable. I popped out a couple of the included batteries and powered them on. The app was downloaded and they paired quite easily. Adjusting the sound profile was simple and straightforward, and I found the right balance, tone, and volume that brought back part of the world that's been slowly slipping away. I could hear the leaves rustling in the breeze, the ice clinking in my neighbor's glass, the grass...I forgot about all the high notes that are out there. It's made me realize I absolutely need hearing aids. My wife loves them because she hasn't needed to repeat herself since I started wearing them. It's been great! Now, for the flipside. They'vs been a bit itchy in my ears, but it has been getting better since I've been wearing them every day. The cost is still a bit steep, but possibly, with some competition, the price will come down. There's also the added cost of batteries. I know there are rechargeable types out there, and I hope Bose will make some some that have this feature. The sound quality, while being impressive as well as tunable, does seem to have a feedback issue for me. Some higher pitched sounds tend to be followed by a little whistle of feedback. Not a deal breaker, but it can cause me to twitch when it happens. Overall, I'm very happy with these. As the first pair I've ever tried, they've been excellent. I'm hopeful that Bose will keep developing the tech that goes into these and find the price point that makes them accessible to anyone who needs hearing assistance.

No audiologist needed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fact that no audiologist was needed to improve hearing using the Bose Sound Control Hearing Aids is excellent. As we age and our hearing slowly deteriorates it’s almost impossible to even recognize until others mention it or you catch yourself asking what one too many times in a conversation. At that point many like myself are a bit embarrassed and certainly feeling like I’m too young to be needing hearing aids! What craziness is that? But when I got to try these without much effort and for sure without going to a hearing “doctor”, I jumped at the chance. I was absolutely impressed with how simple they were to set up using my phone. They definitely allow me to hear different tones that I was not able to hear anymore and improve those that I could still hear. They were pretty much ready to use out of the box. The batteries came with them and the wires that were attached fit me perfectly. It came with multiple ear pieces for maximum inner ear comfort. A nice case was also included. Another plus is that they are easy to fit behind your ear without being highly visible, although nowadays most would just assume that they were some type of earphones. The downside was that perhaps there could be more adjustments that I could make with the sounds. It did cause itching and made my ears hurt deep inside after awhile so I am hoping that with time it will all adjust. The other disappointment was that you have to open the door to the battery to turn them off. It’s just not the most convenient thing and I would have expected there to be an off switch. My last wishlist item would be if I could connect them using Bluetooth to my tv or phone. Other than that I would recommend to others who may have some difficulty hearing but not quite ready to go to an audiologist.

Nice hearing aides, terrible battery life

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased these about a month ago. Really like the quality, the app is nice. But the battery life is terrible. Got 7 days from my Beltones but barely get 4 days from Bose. Was hoping for better and or rechargeable ones. Everything is rechargeable these days. Only thing that I would improve is the battery life.
