Weber takes it up a notch!

I purchased this new Spirit grill because I needed to downsize from my older Genesis because I moved to a smaller patio. I've come to appreciate the quality of their products and this one didn't disappoint. The best part is the new digital smart feature that really works. I get a readout of the grill temperature and meat temp from the included probe. I downloaded the apt and I can get all the info from my phone. It even tells me the remaining propane fuel in the tank. I used it to make my favorite strip steaks and it worked like a charm. Keep up the good work, Weber!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had my grill for about 2 months. It is a vast improvement over the grills I have had in the past. It hold temperatures with ease. The app makes grilling easy when entertaining and creating a large meal.

My Best Weber Yet

This is definitely my best Weber yet. Very accurate temperature readings with the LED gauge. I can control the themperature as easy as I would on my gas oven. I am now grilling foods to perfection.

Disappointing

Was disappointed with the construction and design. The back of the grill has an opening, that in a moderate wind, when the gas is turned to medium on all 3 burners, allows the wind to blow out the flame. So have to keep it on high in a modest wind, a waste of Propane and increased level of difficulty maintaining a proper temperature. I have purchased Weber grills since the 90's and own 3. The Kettle, a Genisis and a Spirit that is 6 years old which is why I purchased this new Spirit. This just seems to be less sturdy in it's construction and missing some features , like a regular mechanical thermometer. The electronics are ok , but the base BBQ unit is disappointing.

Good except when it’s not

This seemed like a great grill. It was easy to assemble and this is our 3rd Weber grill and have loved every one of them. The E10 error light has stayed on from the moment we put it together and we can’t figure out how to fix it. We’ve plug and unplugged and have done everything the website has said. It’s frustrating when it’s only a week old and already having issues.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not worth it

The smart board is not accurate, approximately 100°off at 325 on temp side. With probe 10°at 135. The battery power doesn't last very long, would not recommend buying with the smart system

Not the best Weber grill

Grease tends to leak around the drip pan when using the front of the grill surface. The control module didn't work out of the box. There is no room in the cabinet for anything other than the propane tank. The propane tank is difficult to mount and unmount because of the wide front overhang. The metal cover handle can get hot when using all three burners on moderate to high. It takes seven batteries to make the grill fully functional. There is no handle to allow rolling the unit to another location.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
