it's well built barbecue, the one thing I dislike about it that the instructions of use of the barbecue. if somebody has never used anything like this all you have is a little bit of paperwork to try and figure out to make it work.
a video that would come with the barbecue would be very helpful,
I have wanted a smoker for a long time but we have a small patio with room for only one unit. I had the top of the line Weber Summit gas grill and loved it, but it was not like having a smoker. I finally bit the bullet, got rid of the Summit and bought the SmokeFire. This was a hard decision to make, but I am very happy I did. It does everything I could do on the gas grill (600 degree grilling) and it has the added benefit to me of low and slow smoking. I am addicted. Just buy one now, you will not regret it.
I waited for the gen2 to be out for awhile but I’m really happy with the smokefire. I like the smoke boost feature and being able to cook steaks. I clean all my cookers as well as the smokefire regularly. Love it. No issues at all.
Had a few glitches in the beginning (not Weber's fault), but smooth sailing since. Burn-in was simple, followed by a 10 hour pork butt smoke. Loved the pulled pork and was especially pleased with the ease of clean up. Previous pellet smoker took hours to clean with some heavy lifting, compared to the 15 minutes the Smoke Fire required. Have smoked a chicken and a leg of lamb as well. The temp held steady in all cases and pellet hopper was easy to replenish. Very Pleased.
I've only used this grill 4 times and already had to clean the auger from a jam and the auger CAUGHT ON FIRE
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
