Excellent for medium to high heat cooks. My particular unit is prone to flame outs when set to 200-225 degrees.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was hesitant to purchase this pellet grill based on the negative online reviews of the 1st gen model. Based on being an American company, the grill assembled in the USA and a local dealer (The BBQ HQ) advocating how well the 2nd gen performed I decided to take a chance. The installation instructions were excellent and once you get it assembled the grill seems very solid. I am disappointed no shelf front or additional side shelf comes standard at this price point. I have smoked baby back ribs, tri-tip and brisket so far and everything came out great. The grill puts out a ton of smoke and your neighbors will definitely know you are smoking something. Overall I am very happy with this grill and am looking forward to smoking more items.
I am very pleased with the second generation Brett Sare two I don’t have a Lotta flareup problems sign has gotten better really enjoyed it so much money
I have had no issues with this grill/smoker yet and have cooked many different things. However my first cook was interrupted by a system update. Not sure if Weber can be blamed with this or my own impatient nature. Anyway buy the Weber grill, update it first thing then enjoy it.
The grill has had zero faults in the 25 + times I have used it. Only downside is the clean up. I clean after every two uses and it takes about an hour or so to get it all cleaned out. Other than that works as promised!
