The Grill works well on the 3 times I have used it, but certain things about the Controller functions in the brochure are not correct. The function of the + button is not as described. And Weber support has not been as good as in the past. It took them almost 2 weeks to finally tell me that. I am not sure about the other things as I have not used all the features yet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Outstanding smoke flavor and even cooking. You have to watch it constantly, though. It flamed out four times on me in two times I used it. The first time it refused to light. I cleared the burn pot and it lit. The next time was because of pellet bridging. So I moved them around. Then it jammed. Even though it can hold 20 lbs of pellets doesn’t mean it should. The weight of them after shuffling them jammed the auger. Tonight, it flamed out again. To its credit, I was running SmokeBoost, which says it can run at double-digit temps, so it probably didn’t notice the flame out. The problem was that I didn’t either, so the auger over fed the burnpot so it wouldn’t relight.
Live and learn. The moral of the story is that this is a great grill with even cooking and great technology, if you’re willing to babysit it.
