Can't believe how easy the grill makes smoking meat. I've been dead on maintaining set temperature. Need to figure out if I can control temp when I'm in the car.
Easy to use, just make sure to download the App. Maintains temp really well and would recommend periodically checking temps on the app. My temperature significantly jumped the first time i used it and had to adjust it to correct temp which is why I’m giving it 4 stars
Temperature inconsistency is an issue. Once the unit reaches the set temperature and I put in the meat for smoking, within 30-45 minutes the smoke fire unit losses temperature. Significant temperature drop, greater than 50 plus degrees.

Hi, your feedback is greatly appreciated. We are sorry to hear about the trouble you are experiencing with the temperature. We certainly do not expect your grill to begin losing temperature within 30-45 minutes into your cook. At the same time, it is normal for the grill temperature to change as you're opening the lid to put food in. Once the lid is closed, your grill temperature will automatically regulate. When the lid is opened, especially for extended periods of time, the outside factors such as wind can redirect the flame and heat. We want to learn more about what you are experiencing. It’s important to make sure you've downloaded the latest version of the Connect app and updated your grill to the latest software and firmware. You can find the latest version information for your grill and the Connect app herehttps://consumer-care.weber.com/hc/en-us/articles/360042696872. In addition, the quality of the pellets you are using can also impact the performance of your grill. We recommend using Weber pellets for best results. Please be on the lookout for an email from us here shortly. Thanks!
It Works Great. First time for a pellet grill & thought I had to get a gas grill also. But the Pellet Grill does it All. Love Weber customer service to answer questions.
I have been using Weber grills ever since I was in high school (over 50 years). This will be my 3rd Weber grill (I still have the original kettle and the Genesis Silver). The SmokeFire has been a winner since I bought it as well. I have cooked everything from hot dogs and burgers to veggies and salmon, even a couple of roasts. Haven't had any issues. everything has come out awesome so far. The flavor is very good and the controls easy to use. I think it would be hard to make a bad meal with this grill, it does most of the work for you and the app reminds you to do the rest. I have replaced my gas fired smoker with this grill. The warm up time takes some getting used to if you currently cook on gas. The only issues I have are finding the pellets on occasion. I also wish I could add my own recipes to the app. There are a lot on the website, but I can't figure out how to add them to the app.
I've had the EX4 for a couple of weeks. No issues with delivery, assembly, or set-up. Took my time and was ready to go in a couple of hours. First cook was pork chops followed by a long brisket smoke the next day. The machine worked without a hitch for both. Clean up was easy: pull the flavorizer bars, brush down the box into the ash dump, and pull the drawer with the grease catch. Stay on top of that and I don't see a problem with ash or flare-ups over any other grill...and use drip pans. It heats up quickly and maintained temperature just fine. The fold down front shelf is just so-so for me. It gets the job done, but I do agree with others that it feels a little underwhelming. It's close, but not quite there.
