[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine does it all and does it well, however, some things to keep an eye out on. I believe in seasoning a smoker, but you will have to make sure this one is cleaned on the bottom otherwise you will have flare ups and it will burn your meat. The probe is a great tool and using it with the app helps tremendously, but I had a wrong temperature read one time and couldn’t get the “stall” at the right time. Could have been a glitch as it didn’t happen again. My last concern are the pellets as I tried using a different brand and the auger kept getting clogged and I had to empty the entire hopper. After that one time I have been only using Weber brand pellets without any issues, but they are scarce locally and a bit more expensive. Other than these avoidable issues it’s been great so far for searing, smoking, and grilling. Love it so much that I don’t even use my Weber Smokey Joe and Weber Genesis anymore.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There's been a couple of months since I got the SmokeFire EX4 Gen2 and it's a wonderful grill, quality is so good and honestly I couldn't expect less from weber.
The technology incorporated with webber connect makes you look like a pro.
Once the temperature is reached provides a pretty nice smoke to whatever you are cooking/baking, the flavor and smell of the final product is just amazing.
You can get a perfect smoked and juicy piece of meat, we really love it.
The only thing I've noticed about SmokeFire Gen2 is that if you keep the lid open for some time the temperature starts droping fast, I've faced only 2 issues since I got the grill related with temperature.
I had several things on the grill and was taking them out so...
1) Once I closed the lid again the grill was trying to reach the temperature again but never stopped, so I had to turn it off and turn it on back again, problem solved.
2) Similar scenario, the grill was trying to reach the temperature but this time there was a point when the temperature started decreasing with the lid closed, the burner got overfilled with pellets until the grill shuts down for me to remove all those pellets. And I have to say that even the ash and grease drawer had a bunch of pellets.

That's the only reason I'm giving 4 out of 5, If you are wondering if I'd recommend the grill, the answer is yes, it's really worth it , I feel like a pro even when I'm not. I'm just getting to know the grill and trying not to keep the lid open much when cooking several things at the same time.

Have used it several times. Had one time that the Weber app lost contact. When I went out to manually adjust temp, I had to power off and restart with no additional problems.

It's a fantastic smoker, but a terrible grill. If you were to split the bottom grate into six zones for grilling, there's at least a 100°F difference between the hottest zone and the coldest. Furthermore, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to why the back right zone is so frigid. You're also almost guaranteed to start a grease fire if you grill anything in the front middle zone. That being said, I've been smoking with a weber charcoal smoker for 22 years and I'd never go back.
