Easy to Use and Maintain and Great Results!

Although a Weber customer for almost 50 years, I have used a ceramic cooker as my primary grilling and smoking appliance for the past five years. But, I purchased the SmokeFire for ease and convenience, especially during the colder months. I do not compete in contests, but grill and smoke for the enjoyment of cooking for my family and friends. I can report that the SmokeFire is a great product, and you will not be disappointed. I believe that the quality is superior, operation and maintenance is simple and efficient, and the food is fantastic. Thank you Weber for taking the time to produce a terrific product.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gen 2 is a must. I have had a few minor issues with my Gen 2. Wifi notifications were not working for the first month of ownership. That’s has been resolved. But now I cannot control the unit from outside my home. Only when I’m within BT range or WiFi. I have had one flame out using Smokeboost when it was near freezing out but otherwise the unit get to temp quickly and holds temp well. Despite the few issues I have been very happy with my Smokefire and recommend it to all my friends.
I would recommend this to a friend!

To address the issue you have been experiencing, and your inability to control your grill remotely, please make sure SmokeFire is within BlueTooth range, or that it is connected to your home WiFi network. As long as the phone being used is connected to a WiFi network or using cellular data, you will continue to receive updates on your phone and be able to monitor the grill remotely. Have gone full circle, these are the best!

I got the first EX4 ever in the country upon initial release. Ended up returning it after a couple months. Tried 4 other pellet grills in the mean time. Learned how inferior the other really were. Learned that pellet quality can vary, a lot having to do with storage when shipped or at the stores, which can impact grilling greatly, which needs to be kept in mind while using these things. Back to smokefire again. The flavor imparted due to this design is undeniably the absolute Best, period! It has largely to do with the smoke coming directly upward under the meat, the flavorizer bars and how the unit produces smoke/heat. They've remedied the early "issues" and have updated the firmware to be smarter and adapted to real world use, but it would be nice to see maybe a dual warm/cold setting, for choosing the environment temp, so the cooking algorithm could maybe be even more adaptive, when using like the low temp smoke boost mode, which is teetering on the verge of flame out in colder temps. Highly recommend this pellet cooker, it's quite amazing, easy to use and a breeze to maintain.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This grill/smoker has performed absolutely flawlessly during all of my cooks during the last two months. Low and slow to 600 degree searing, this thing has done it all. Easy to use, easy to clean, and the food tastes amazing. I have Weber gas and charcoal grills, and the Smokefire can easily do everything the other two do. Two minor annoyances that I am sure Weber will address in future updates are pellets sometimes need a little push if they get caught up on the hopper ramp, and the ash drawer could be sealed tighter to mitigate burnt ash/embers from blowing out. With that said, this is still an excellent grill for the money backed by amazing customer service from Weber.
