Buy another brand. Never worked out of the box. Customer support is non-existent.

Best grill I’ve ever had. During the pandemic stay-at-home lockdown, the Weber SmokeFire is a “Must Have” device that actually makes staying at home enjoyable. Get all of your food and bbq pellets delivered, and there is just about no reason that you would ever need to leave the house.
So far so good. 2 meals in and I am happy with the results. Read all the reviews (good/bad) and went for it. I am a big Weber fan, this is my 3 product in 25 yrs. I love the fact that virtually all parts can be ordered and replaced.
My thoughts so far- Good: 1. Very easy to assemble 2. Simple to operate 3. I really like to app, no issues so far. The app shows the user all sorts of data all in one place. 4. EX4. is plenty big for my family if 4 (w/ 2 teenagers). 5. The ash drawer is very easy to access. 6. It just looks good!
Not so good: 1. Parts of the unit do not feel as robust as I have come to expect from Weber. The smoker lid, pellet hopper lid, and optional end table...compared to my Genesis, they feel thin. 2. Ash goes everywhere, be prepared for it 3. Ash and grease did mix in the grease trough, I just wiped it clean but I will keep an eye on it. 4. No on board storage for tools, supplies, etc..there is space for a cabinet below the ash drawer. I would use it if available. There are two hooks on the right but I am interested in out of sight storage.
would have given 5 stars but last night I fired it up and for some reason could not get the temp over 500.
I would recommend this to a friend!

On the second try Weber seems to have hit a home run. Smoke fire could easily replace your gas and charcoal grilling apparatus today. Clearly a one stop shop for all outdoor cooking needs. Hotdogs, hamburgers, chicken, and steaks to date rival anything our Summit gas grill can do, with the flavors of our classic charcoal kettle grill. Ready to sear in fifteen minutes, how can you beat that? Smoking ribs, chuck roast, chicken, and various pork cuts have been eady and easily controlled by the on board software.
Having said that there are a few things that could be improved and or included in the initial purchase. Work shelves, handel clearances, grill grates and some terminologies and menu flows in the software are a little clunky. Overall we love it.
Problem after problem. Unreliable. Have replaced parts, still virtually unusable. Way too complicated and finicky.
