Absolutely terrible

I've had mine for a year and I've experienced all of the following: rusted inside parts, thremal runway resulting in huge great fire (and charred brisket), jammed pellets, mid-cook software updates that fail and stop cooking for an hour+, lid that won't hold its own weight up, electronics failure, and terrible, fragile construction. I've give this zero stars if I could.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've done so many cooks with my EX4 1st Gen with great success and great comments about the meats I smoked and grilled. I wish it had the rotisserie option but my kettle one will take care of that.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not ready for primetime

As a long time Customer of Webber gas grills, I expected a well designed quality product. But this smoker is a DUD!!
Completely unreliable pellet feeding system is the main issue. After 10 uses, It has only worked well one time. Pellets do not feed consistently through auger or into burn pot. You can be grilling for 15 minutes or for 2 hours and suddenly temperature drops. Each time a great amount of effort is needed to disassemble and clean delivery system in order to try to get it work again.
I’ve spent an inordinate amount of time trying to figure this out and have wasted lots of money of meat that was not cooked fully. I’ve also had multiple parties ruined because of the defects in this product.
To the folks at Webber: you really let me down this time. I really fail to undertow you have put your brand at risk by putting out such a flawed product.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to learn that you are disappointed with your new SmokeFire grill. Your satisfaction is very important to us, and we are here to help!

There is a bit of a learning curve when using this grill, just like any new grill.

Also, easy-to-adjust factors like pellet quality and grill maintenance are often the cause of the issue you described.

We recommend using fresh Weber pellets in your SmokeFire. Fresh pellets will snap when broken in half, not crumble. Dusty, crumbly pellets can create many unwanted issues such as auger jams and pellet bridging. Either of those issues could cause your grill to shut down mid-cook.

Maintenance is key with the SmokeFire models. That starts with doing a complete shutdown after each use. Doing the shutdown and cleaning before each use will set your grill up for success.

After longer low and slow cooks, it is recommended that a more thorough cleaning be done. Also, the owner's guide mentions using a drip/water pan in your cookbox for longer cooks as well. To expand on that, our 6416 Summit drip pans fit perfectly between the cooking grates and Flavorizer bars.

We would like to offer our assistance! Please look for an email from our Care team soon. Thank you!

The Swiss Army Knife

I honestly really enjoy this smoker/grill, the things I have smoked have been amazing but on the same hand the things I have grilled have been just as good. It does seem to be a swiss army knife, in that it does low and slow but then can sear at 600 F. Though with honesty it doesn't do the absolute best at both ends of the spectrums but it will still does good enough that nobody will suspect you aren't some kind of a professional.

I e owned if for two weeks and have not finished a cook on it yet. I am working with two different Weber techs through email. It flames out around the one hour mark every time and I get EXCESSIVE smoke back up through the pellet box which cause extreme moisture on the pellets.
