I am new to pellet smokers. I have bbqd for the past 30 years in different grills/smokers. The SmokeFire is a game changer. It is easy to set up and program and delivers incredible BBQ. We have done Ribs, Pork Shoulder, Spiral Ham, Slamon and even Pizzas! Friends and family are blown away. One of the best features is ability to monitor cooks remote in the phone for grill temp, meat temp and pellet status. Love this grill!

Expensive patio weight

I have had my smoke fire 2 seasons now, always covered with the Weber cover when not in use. I have grilled on Weber kettles for the past 25 years, I use to be a Weber snob, then I bought the Smoke fire, which is more of an expensive patio ornament. 3 glow plugs, multiple flameouts, just all around a poorly done pellet grill, I always used Weber pellets but the problems are beyond a pellet quality, they are a feat of poor quality. This grill brings more frustrations and anger than happy grilling moments. I clean it constantly as I should but the grill is too temperamental and with 2 season, the inside area that hold the flavor covers have rusted away, after 25 years of being a Weber Snob, I am 100% done with Weber, this thing is headed to the dump.

Your feedback means a lot to us. We are so sorry to hear about your experience. Our pellet team is here to help. Please look for an outreach email from us soon. Thank you!
Worst grill I’ve ever owned. I have used it 6 times and have ruined 3 meals. Have gotten 1 complete meal from it. The other 2 times were simply wasting my time trying to figure out what was going on with it. Either it wouldn’t light or the temperature would just quit after you made a change. Once it overheated because all the pellets on the slide from the auger to burner can caught on fire. Then there was the horrible experience with customer service. That was the icing on the cake. A 20 minute hold to talk to someone who barely spoke English and knew nothing about the grill. I am literally on my way to take it back and get my money back. I have 2 Pit Boss pellet grills and they work great. Once I get my money back I will own 3 Pit Boss grills.

Your feedback regarding the SmokeFire EX4 means a lot to us. We are so sorry to hear you are having an issue with the grill not staying lit or going out. We are here to help. Please look for an outreach email from our Care team soon. Thank you!
Easy to use and control. This is my second pellet grill after switching from charcoal. The heat is even over the grill and the temperature controls are accurate. The upper grill is useful. I use a salt block and steel plate with excellent results. I added a second side shelf for to accommodate plates, spray bottles, etc.
I bought my Smokefire EX4 because it is a combination BBQ/Smoker. I was impressed with its ability to reach searing temperatures quickly. I have made some great smoked BBQ's with it since I bought it 6 months ago. But, I soon realized I had to check the pellet flow every 10-15 mins or so to aid the pellets into the auger. Gravity alone wasn't doing the trick. Last month after leaving the smoker for more than 15 mins I got a notification on my app the smoker was losing temperature. A bubble had developed under the pellets above the auger as pellets stopped flowing into the auger. I shut it down and restarted and within 10 mins there was so much smoke in my back yard I was sure the Fire Dept would be called. I had to unplug it as the shutdown process caused the fan to start and make the thick smoke worse. After a worrisome 10 min the smoke subsided. After cooldown I noticed ash all the way up from the burnpot to the auger. The glow plug bracket assembly was also melted and had to be replaced. Not sure why this happened other than a design flaw in how the pellets feed into the auger? Not what I expected from Weber.

The grill has performed well and the app has improved a lot. The problem isn't the app with the awesome recipes and step by step instructions or the great temperature control. The robem is the materials that it was manufactured with The grill is all bit gone internally, the firebox amd all that supports it is completely shot and the temperature probe receptacles work sporadically. I've only had one temperature probe go bad out of six I have purchased. Overall I have gotten a lot of great food from this grill but IT IS NOT UP TO WEBER STANDARD OF QUALITY. I am pretty disappointed with length of service. It is similar to what you expected from cheap grills yu would by when just starting in adult life.

Worst Weber I’ve Owned

I sold my Spirit and Smokey Mountain, with hopes this would be able to replace both of them, it has been nothing but headaches since buying it. It caught fire during the initial seasoning, and I had to have a few parts replaced right from the stars Since then, it has been nothing but trouble. Constantly loses the flame. I’ve ruined a few briskets and several steaks. Can’t cook above 450 degrees, despite claiming it gets to 600 for searing.
I have never regretted a purchase more. I had such high hopes for Weber. Loved my Smokey and Spirit and wish I had them back.
