Do not buy this grill

The first ten times I used the grill it worked fairly well. Since then here are the problems: 1. The grill will not maintain a consistent temperature. 2. The grill temperature drops drastically when you open the lid and then will not reset to the previous temperature. 3. It takes a very long time to heat to the proper temperature. 4. The grill started on fire the last time I used it and is now completely inoperable. 5. Tech support by phone is nonexistent.

Grill broke after having it for 4 months and it was hardly used. Temperature gets too high by itself and then has to cool down, which takes 15 min, to then have to warm it up again. Not happy with this grill for the price.

Worst purchase ever, only used a handf of times and always shuts down with a hopper problem, have to take completely apart for every use and can’t get through a full cook. Love our Weber gas’s grill not impressed with this smoker at all. We will be buying a different brand. Very disappointed!

1 year with the SmokeFire EX4 (2nd Gen) Wood Fired Pellet Grill: Have already gone through three glow plugs, each of which failed in the middle of cooks. I clean this grill very well after every use, and I have never finished a longer cook without the pellets forming a dome and failing to feed. And I am RELIGIOUS about using fresh, bone dry pellets. The lower the temp, the more the problems. The #1 probe socket doesn't work. The grill blows ash everywhere. Any pellets get down in the drip tray WILL catch on fire, and if you got a fire in the drip tray, don't go grabbing that drawer with your bare hands! The cord plugs up into the socket and can (did) easily fall out. The app DOES work great and always syncs with my grill. Easy to control or monitor remotely BUT don't be too far away cause the glow plug will fail on you eventually and the pellets will dome up.

I am a huge Weber fan. Have had the same Spirit model for over 8 years and minimal issues. I was looking for a pellet grill and decided to give Weber a try despite some of the comments and issues with the grill.
The Smokefire looks great but doesn't work great. I've had good success with the pellet grill for a short cook. However when I'm using it as a smoker, I have had significant issues. For whatever reason, it drops temperature after an hour or so. The last time I used it, I powered it down after the temperature dropped after an hour of cooking baby back ribs. When I turned it on again after I ended up having a huge smokefire from the grill.
