I am only a month user and so far: 1. Easy to operate 2. Goes thru the pellet fuel pretty quickly 3. The flavor is great for a low and slow cook 4. At high temps (aka steaks) the pellet flavors are not coming thru. Perhaps with a little more grill seasoning it will improve?

Congratulations on your new SmokeFire EX4! We are glad to hear about the easy grill use. Try using SmokeBoost mode on your next cook before searing it. The smoke flavor will be most present at low temps, and especially in SmokeBoost mode. If you have any other questions or concerns, please reach out to us. We are happy to help. Thanks!
I am not able to provide any meaningful feedback because one of the rolling casters was threaded poorly. Weber is sending a replacement, but it has already been 8 days since my request and I still haven’t received the part to complete assembly.

Hello, we are sorry to hear about the trouble you are experiencing with the rolling caster. We are glad to see that our team placed the order for the replacement. It shows that it's making its way to you. We will reach out via email to help discuss this further. Thanks!
I have had the SmokeFire EX4 (2nd generation) for over 6 weeks and I am very satisfied. The grill heats up quickly- 600 degrees within 15 minutes- about as fast as my gas grill. I did not give much thought to the app in my decision to buy the SmokeFire- it is helpful. The app sends alerts to advise the grill has achieved temp or low on fuel, the internal temp using the probes, etc. These are inspection points which can preoccupy you when multi tasking or hosting guests. With the app you are not so preoccupied. I have grilled steaks, chops, chicken breasts, salmon fillets, burgers and vegetables with great results. The grill gets more than hot enough and provides a great flavor and grill marks. I set the grill to 600 degrees thinking that would be the proper temp for steaks and burgers- it isn't! I used high 400's to low 500's depending on the item. No reservations about the SmokeFire as a grill. For long cooks I just did a boneless pork butt. The SmokeFire makes smoking meat over a long period easy! I used to fuss with my other "analog" smoker and struggle to get everything right- not with the SmokeFire. The meat was tender, had a lot of flavor and maintained moisture. On cleanup, the drip and ash tray/drawer works great. Since cleaning the grill takes place when it is completely cool, I use a decent quality wide paint brush with a short handle to sweep the ash down to the bottom of the grill and through the slots to the drawer, which is really easy to empty. Unlike other pellet grills, no vacuum required! I added the folding front stainless steel shelf to my SmokeFire and it helps with cooking as well as cleanup- a place to put all the internal components as you clean after cooking. Additionally, in the summer I avoid using the oven in the house as it competes with the A/C. I really appreciate the SmokeFire in this regard- it holds the temperature evenly and is my go to oven in the summer. I made great pizza; baked potatoes had great flavor, the skins had a perfect nice chew. I also prepared delicious stuffed chicken breasts! Overall, the SmokeFire EX4 is a great value- an investment that will pay off for years to come. The grill has a wide range of food preparation options, it performs very well, and the price reflects a great value in my experience.
Hopper is hard to fill from the pellet bag. I spill pellets all over every time. Every time I sire my steaks they catch fire. It is nice to connect to my phone also to use the proper. So there is good and bad things about this grill from Weber

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback! It's great to hear that you love the Weber Connect app. Sorry to hear about the flare ups. Here are so tip to help, brush any remaining debris off the grates with stainless steel brush, trim the excess fat from your meat and make sure you don’t over-oil your food. Please be on the lookout for a follow-up email from us shortly. Thanks!
Overall the grill is fantastic. Quality of cooking and temperature control are excellent. Build quality is very good. The pellet bin works well. I'm able to sear steaks by cranking up the temp to 550. Grill heats up quickly.
My only quibbles are the quality of the temperature probes and the clean up. I've already had one probe stop working after a few weeks. Also, the temperature is not very accurate compared to my good quality digital thermometer. Some of the ash doesn't make it into the collecting bin and builds up on the outside of the lower part of the grill.

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. It's great to hear that you love the quality, and have had an overall great experience. The probes carry a 2-year warranty so we would be happy to replace the one that stopped working and learn more about what happened. With regard to your other concern around ash, we designed SmokeFire to direct ash and grease downward, avoiding food as much as possible. Wood naturally produces ash while burning, so there is a possibility with any pellet grill that some ash is found inside of, and below, the cookbox. Please be on the lookout for a follow-up email from us shortly. Thanks!
We are very happy with our Smoker Fire Ex4 gen 2 . The food smoked on it , has excellent flavor. The Smoke Fire is a perfect partner to my Genesis ll . We have no regrets buying this product , and if you are planning on buying a pellet smoker , take a serious look at it .
Very fun pellet grill to use! More noticeable smoke flavor then other brands I’ve used. Gets hot and sears well for a pellet grill. Only thing they need to fix for the 3rd gen is a re-designed pellet hopper , and a bigger and more funneled grease drain at the bottom. Overall I’m happy with my purchase so far.
It is a great piece of equipment. It is easy to keep clean. Weber was smart to leave enough room between the flavor bars and the grill to put a drip pan. Trust me, you'll find a good use for the drippings. One thing may need some design attention. It seem that about half way through each cook, the temperature drop warning sounds off. The pellet feed clogs up and no fuel is getting to the burn pot. It is n easy fix. Just take your scraper stick and stir the pellets where they enter the auger. You will hear them drop and start feeding again. The other thing is you must follow the shutdown procedure to the letter. If you mess up and get caught in a loop where you can't do anything, tuen the switch off, unplug the unit and start over again in 20 seconds or so. Personally, i'd like to see more recipes particular to this unit with timing guides. just asuggestion.
