[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I cut my teeth smoking on a Weber Smokey Mountain, but didn't use it as much as I would have liked because of the time spent starting and tending to a fire. I also didn't grill as much as I wanted, since I'm a charcoal only guy, because of similar reasons. I waited out the 1st gen before buying a SmokeFire, and haven't been happier with it. Enough so that I sold my other grills. If you're looking a grill to do one thing only, you can probably find better. But for me, having one grill to do low-and-slow, hot-and-fast, and searing meant the SmokeFire was the perfect fit. And boy does it produce some great tasting foods. I would highly recommend it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having been a disappointed Traeger owner (pellet box auger sticking, pellet box too small, app and temperature control weak) my new SmokeFire EX4 outperforms Traeger in EVERY facet of my 2-3 times a week smoking regimen. The ability to be worry free monitoring via app to being able to raise the temp from 220 to 600 for the final sear makes everything I grill + smoke turn out be the best ribs, turkey, burgers, pork roast and smoked duck + chicken ever! ALL my neighbors have bought their own after seeing my results. Could NOT be any happier--only problem is my neighbors had to wait because you were sold out! Hope you are catching up with demand! Ecstatic!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought my EX4 around Thanksgiving and been very happy with everything about the grill since. I've used a standard 22" kettle since the late 90s, had a Smokey Mountain and Smokey Joe in the lineup too. I moved in to the foothills and the past two years I haven't been able to use charcoal 8 months of each year due to fire bans. My Mom was a Weber sales rep in the 80s, my last name is shared if the original inventor, so Weber is just in my blood. Transition to the EX4 has been easy. I've cooked ribs, chicken many ways, a whole turkey, a brisket, leg of lamb, cauliflower, and elk back straps. Flavor is good, cherry is my favorite all around so far. The grill starts right up and holds temp even cooking on 5F day at 9600 feet of elevation.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first 6 cooks were very good even for it being my first pellet smoker , then it had some low temp problems and it loaded the fire bowl with pellets and put the fire out , I cleaned it twice since cooking in it after long cooks and this happened after . Wouldn’t think it needs a new glow plug after 7 cooks . But other than that it cooks great and tastes great !!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The SmokeFire is simply outstanding. We are enjoying the best grilled meals of our lives. Salmon, turkey, chicken, beef and pork have all tasted great after efficiently cooking. The Weber App feature makes it easy to be an expert. And the wide variety of wood pellet options allows us to try new flavors.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this grill most of the time. I have had it for a little over 2 months and have used it at least 20 times. I have had an issue with a grease fire one time but that does not seem to be an issue now as I use drip pans for about everything except for steaks. Yes it will cook low and slow and yes it will sear very nicely. I have an issue with smokeboost as the fire went out twice, but after talking with customer service I have resolved that issue. I have a Weber Summit Charcoal grill which combined with the SmokeFire pretty much has me in grilling heaven I did knock off a star due to the afore mentioned problems but I could see myself upgrading yo 5 stars in the future
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have thoroughly enjoyed my SmokeFire EX4! When shopping for a pellet grill, I couldn't pass up the Weber's ability as a all-day smoker and the ability to sear meat at high temperatures - and the SmokeFire has lived up to expectations. I can view the temperature from the app on my phone so that I know when the meat is just right.
