Great grill, excellent flexability with the weber craft insert capability. Heats up nicely and sear sides is perfect for meats. The stainless steel grates make cleaning much easier than cast iron.
Missing shelf. I didn't find out until after my purchase that the shelf in the underside cabinet is no longer provided. The have replace it with 2 (obviously much cheaper) support rods. Every piece of literature I reviewed showed a shelf underneath. They put a flyer in the instruction manual stating "the shelf is no longer required", because they found a cheaper way of support. I had plans for using the shelf. Now I have only the bottom of the cabinet with 2 bars in the way that make it difficult storing anything below.
I am replacing an old Summit Gold A4 grill. The new Genesis is a very nice grill. Fires up easily, heats up quickly and seems like a solid model. I would give 4.5 stars if that was an option. I have two negatives when compared to my old grill. It does not heat as evenly and it does not get as hot Perhaps I was spoiled. Still it is a great grill, plenty of space, nice fit and finish, solid build, indirect cooking is wonderful, grease collection works better than my old grill and is much easier to clean the drip tray. Overall a great grill I look forward to many years of happy bbqing. As an aside two pieces were slightly bent when shipped. I was able to straighten them using two blocks of wood a a few clamps, they were minor but I could not assemble the grill without straightening one of them.
This grill has exceeded my expectations. Easy to use, easy to clean. The food comes out tasting great. I just wish I could find the online lessons specific to this model.
This is a great grill. We use it here at the American Legion for our Friday night burger feeds. We will do about 30 to 50 burgers here for our fellow veterans and their families every Friday .

We sincerely apologize for the issue you've experienced and will be happy to help. It's always recommended to double-check the propane tank gasket for any damage. Please keep in mind that with exchange LP tanks, you are using something that many people could have used before you. If you suspect something is wrong with your LP tank, we recommend borrowing a proven LP tank you know works from a friend, family member, or neighbor to rule the LP tank out as the source of the issue. It is essential to look over the LP tank gasket before hooking up your hose and regulator and using your grill. A defective LP tank gasket can lead to gas flow and gas leak issues. Our team will be reaching out to you to help you resolve this. Thank you!
