I was impressed with the quality of the components, particularly how heavy-duty the stainless steel grates are. The side burner works great for cooking with a cast iron pan, and the top rack is very sturdy. The side tables are wide enough to hold all my spatulas and seasoning and whatever else I need for the cook. And the griddle insert is exactly as advertised - heavy and solid, well-seasoned, and heats very evenly across the surface. I am very happy with this purchase!
I bought this grill from a local shop. The outside package was fine. Once I had it home and unpacked from the main box I started finding damaged parts. One frame was completely bent, and the side cabinet was smashed in on one side. This must have happened before it was shipped to the store I bought it from. Weber sent me a new frame piece, but it has been almost a month and I am still waiting on the side cabinet. So, we spent almost $2000 on a grill that we haven't been able to fully use. This was my first Weber gas grill, we wanted to splurge on something nice, and I am disappointed with the experience.

I've had Weber Genesis natural gas grills in the past and loved them. For this new home, purchased a propane gas Genesis grill to assembly on my own since the store wanted 1-2 weeks to assemble it. The instructions for assembly are pictures only, and very difficult to follow in certain places. It also took several hours to assemble. Overall, the grill works great and looks great. Would have preferred an infrared burner on the side rather than the propane flame, but it still works great.
