Have never owned a gas fired grill. Have always owned Weber Charcoal grills. Current one is a 26” model. Have to admit, it’s great having both on hand. The Genesis is a great grill, plenty of cooking area and extremely easy to operate.

I ordered the grill form Home Depot, to be assembled and delivered to my home. Unfortunately, the grease tray and wire catch pan holder were missing. I ordered the grease tray, but when I tried to slide it in, I discovered the rails were incorrectly installed so it couldn't be used. Returned the grill for a refund.
Home Depot issue not the grill!

We do grill a lot and this Weber heats up quickly and you can add accessories to grill vegetables or smoke your foods. Has nice area for storage for those accessories. The stainless steel is a nice appearance too.

Purchased an E-435 after 20 years with another Weber model. Build quality is excellent. The sear function is great, the temperature controls do just that (for maintaining even, lower temps for ribs, etc.) Didn’t wan’t anything “smart” as chips degrade and then are costly to replace.
