I had a 15 year old Summit S670 and the cart has rusted out on it. Finally decided to buy a new Weber but didn't need all the bells and whistles and the price of a new Summit. The new Genesis cooks really well and still gets super hot even without the searing burner on but it's definitely lower quality steel and construction then my old Summit. For example, the Summit lower cabinet was fully sealed but this has about 8 inches under the grill top open and the drip pan is exposed. Animals could easily climb inside. I question if the new grill will last 15 years like the old one.

Thank you for your feedback and for being a long-time Weber fan! It is fantastic to learn that you are enjoying the performance of your new Genesis grill! We want our grillers to have all the heat they need to achieve brag-worthy results.
We understand your concern with the cabinet design of your new grill. The small gaps provide ventilation underneath your grill.
Keeping your grill as clean as possible is the best thing you can do to keep wildlife or pets away. We also recommend removing and emptying the grease tray after grilling. The goal is to remove as much grease and leftover food as possible, which will make it less attractive to animals. I give it a 4 star. Why you ask because for the price it should come with some of the accessories. Other than that it seems like a good grill. I like the seer zone. Good even heat on the burners. If it last me 20 years I will be happy.
I have had the grill about 6 weeks now and have used it several times and I am very pleased with it. It heats up quickly and evenly. The sear burner is great and produces steaks that look like they came from a top notch restaurant. I highly recommend the Weber Genesis.
I have owned a Weber grill for many years and recently replaced it with my new Weber. Our family is growing and I wanted a grill that could handle a large capacity of food for cooking. This grill doesn’t disappoint and I am also pleased with the steel grates too.
I love my new Weber Natural Gas Grill, our hamburgers tasted amazing. Can't wait to grab some steaks and grill them as well. It was so easy to clean and plenty of storage space.
