It still needs improvement, they call it 2nd generation, but it’s not its more like 1.5 ... the pellet hoper has a piece metal screwed on the the original... rather then improving the hoper they just modified the original.. which is a let down now the hoper box is even smaller and doesn’t even hold 20 lbs... the ash tray has a gap between the top of the tray which allows sparks to fly out... which makes me worried because my pellet smoker sits on a wooden deck... the software seems ok ... I haven’t had any issues with it other than not being able to set the temperature from the phone on the initial start up ... when it’s cold out side I wish I could start it up from inside the house.... rather than having to mess with the dial...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My Weber EX6 was delivered 3 weeks ago. Packaging was great and assembly smooth (45 minutes). I have smoked 4 slabs of baby back ribs, 3 brisket points, 4 pounds of sausage, a pork tip and even a salmon filet. It all was absolutely FABOU!!! This grill has performed great in every aspect and a lot of fun!!!

No gimmick, great smoker

I’ve done a lot of smoking, mostly with a competitor. I wanted to make a switch to try something new and I am extremely glad I did. This smoker is the best pellet wood smoker hands down. It heats quickly and evenly, produces great smoke and is engineered well. If you’re in the market and on the fence about your decision, my opinion is go with the Weber. You won’t be sorry

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After reading reviews I really thought I had made a mistake. But after putting together the grill, and an initial ignition problem that was just a poor contact on the glow plug (I was concerned to bend the contact on initial build) I have now used the grill a few times. Tri-tip, burgers and skirt steak fajitas so far have been cooked. I am just astounded at the ease to regulate the temperature, the app functionality and recipes are superb. The flavor just from the short cooks completed so far is delicious. I have zero complaints. The additional shelf is really needed for space around the grill, the premium cover also is good quality and keeps it clean. One thing for sure, I don’t think Weber customer service can really be beaten, so any future issues I am confident this was now the correct choice.
