I’d read about some difficulties that others have had, but so far this has been trouble-free. I was worried that my wife would have trouble running it, so I also picked up a lightly used Genesis. She hasn’t bothered with the Genesis. The SmokeFire is just so simple to use and turns out such great flavor that no one wants to use anything else. Chicken breasts just turn out amazing. I’ve smoked 8 pork butts at once, and frankly had room for a couple more. They turned out as good as my WSM with far less effort. Love this thing.
We’ve only owned the grill for a few weeks, but have smoked meatloaf, chicken thighs, brisket, and a turkey. We’ve even been able to sear Sous Vide flat iron steaks as well. It has performed flawlessly. The only reason it is not receiving five stars is that the casters are inadequate for a grill that size and weight. For the price point it should have casters (bigger, rubber inline skat style) that allow it to be moved more easily.
I was leery about buying the SmokeFire based on the reviews of the original smoker. However, this Gen 2 model is fantastic. I have both grilled and most recently smoked 10, racks of ribs for a large gathering the results were great. I would definitely recommend SmokeFire
Simple and straight forward, replaced my 4 burner Genesis. Can smoke or grill now with precise temperature and smoke flavor. No flare ups, as there is no direct-close burner. Steaks, ribs, chicken, salmon, burgers, brats all perfect, today my first brisket!
This is my first pellet grill. Very impressed with the construction! The grill is well built and easy to put together. Operation is super easy. We have done burgers, steaks and pork shoulder so far. Would definitely recommend the grill
