My first pellet grill. I chose this one because its made here in the USA! I was looking at lots of other brands. Several of my coworkers own differing brands and we had lots of great conversations about the merits of each one. No one else had a smokefire. I was hoping to smoke briskets and pork low and slow and also be able to replace my gas grill. I am very pleased with the smokefire. I've cooked steaks, chicken wings, brisket, pork butt, chicken breast and legs. Everthing has been great. My first brisket didnt have enough pepper but i fixed that on the second one. It gets hot in 10 minutes. My only complaint is that on a cold Pennsylvanian winter day and a hot cook it really goes through the pellets. I guess I have two complaints. I spill the pellets trying to fill the hopper all the way up before i go to bed at night on a long and slow cook. I'll have to get a scoop or something instead of just pouring out of the bag. I did add the folding front shelf. All in all I would definitely buy this again. I've been cleaning every couple of cooks. It only takes a few minutes to pull the grates and internals and scrape everything to the ash/grease pan. Ive been using the additional drip pan under briskets and pork on the low and slow with some water in it. Ive had great results.

I own a Genesis(6 years+). The Smokefire is now my favorite grill.
So far I've cooked wings, ribs and pork shoulders. It does a great job as a pellet smoker, foods come off smokey-but not too smokey.
I've grilled steaks and chicken at high temps and the grill performed quite well. As good as my Genesis! The flame does a nice job at putting sear marks on the food-something my other brand pellet smoker could not do.
As far as maintenance goes-I spend about 15 minutes after a long cook cleaning out the barrel as it does collect some ash and grease. I also own a major competitor's brand pellet smoker and it requires clean up too, so this isn't anything unique to the Weber.
The pellet hopper isn't difficult to use as others may have mentioned, it's just in a different location. Low and slow cooks can take all day, and might use a bag of pellets. So having to load the pellets from the back once isn't going to make you break out into a sweat. It's not like you have to refill it every 20 minutes......
The Wifi and Bluetooth work great, easy to setup. I guess there's been some performance upgrades in the firmware-be sure to update as before your first cook. The app is pretty good-It would be nice if it had a "keep warm" function though.
This grill is so much fun to cook with that I'm getting Gourmet BBQ rack system with the sear grates and the wok.

I was worried with the bad reviews I read. Then I received the unit and it does everything that it was supposed to. Holds temperature great and gives that great smoke flavor. I used the sensors for the first time and they are very accurate and convenient. I have had it for a little over a month and only things I remotely dislike is the noisy fan and the lack of enough work space.

Love how fast it heats up but it is not consistent on the heat distribution. It is way hotter on the right side than the left. The igniter has already went out after a dozen uses. Good thing you sent extras. Is this something that is being fixed?

Thank you for your feedback regarding the SmokeFire EX6! We are excited to hear the grill is heating up fast!

However, we apologize for the disappointing experience with uneven heat.

We can share some tips with you for uneven heating.

It is important to make sure your grill is fully preheated with the lid closed before adding food.

After preheating, the heat will start to even out. When you open the lid, the Smoke Fire engine will start running harder to keep the temperature up. When the lid is open, especially for extended periods of time, outside factors such as wind can redirect the flame and heat.

It sounds simple, but keep that lid closed for the best results.

We want to know more about the glow plug issue you are having.

Our Care team is reaching out to follow up. Please look for our outreach soon. Thank you!

I would have given it five stars but it came damaged. Also it does eat through some pellets. I smoked a butt yesterday that got raves from all! Great range of temps!
