I have had my smoke fire for about a year. I have been a Weber fan my entire life and I just feel completely let down. When it first got to my house it was all banged up with dents. I didn’t let that bother me because I was going to put it to good use and honestly I just wanted to use it. It only works about 30% of the time at its best. Currently nothing on it is working I set the temp and it just gives me error codes. I have replaced the glow plus and have done a deep cleaning on the smoke fire, and still nothing. I don’t want to give up on this machine but I am def at a loss for what to do. Also the paint is already starting to peel off in spots. For this price point I just feel like it should be way better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Food tastes great when it works. Like the app and the recipes. Stopped heating though and struggles to even get it to turn on. It's not even a year old. I have an open ticket with Weber trying to troubleshoot. Feel like it shouldn't have issues of this significance in the first year? Worked fine in the fall but this spring we haven't been able to use it at all. Customer support has been decent so far.

Best Grill Ever! I was always a traditional bbq guy and was anti pellet grill! I was wrong! So easy and cooks quality BBQ. Heavier steel than a traeger and retains heat well.
Blows alot of ash out of the tray, grease channel does not work as intended.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We understand that you have a couple of concerns with the ash and grease management systems.
Wood naturally produces ash while burning, so there is a possibility with any pellet grill that some ash may blow out and onto the outside of the grill.
This can easily be wiped down with a soft cloth or paper towel. We designed Smoke Fire to ensure that the ash collection is as easy to maintain as possible with a unique ash and grease collection drawer.
Maintenance is key with the SmokeFire models. That starts with doing a complete shutdown after each use. Doing the shutdown and cleaning before each use will set your grill up for success.
After longer low and slow cooks, it is recommended that a more thorough cleaning be done. Also, the owner's guide mentions using a drip/water pan in your cookbox for longer cooks as well. To expand on that, our 6416 Summit drip pans fit perfectly between the cooking grates and Flavorizer bars.

I sold my other big name pellet grill and upgraded to this EX6. The construction and build quality of this grill are great. It gets as hot as advertised without showing signs of failure like my previous pellet grill. Overall, I love it. But I am disappointed in the amount of ash around the food during a cooking session, and the noticeable hot spot just to the right of center. While neither is a deal breaker, others have reported the same thing. So at least it’s consistent and not just me. The on-board controls work well and are easy to use. The app isn’t intuitive but is easy to learn. And clean up is a breeze. The add on front shelf is great to have. I was surprised at how much fuel it consumes. But it is larger than my previous pellet grill, so that to be expected. Knowing what I do now, the EX4 would have been a better choice for me.
