I've had Weber grills for the past 45 years and this is the best one yet! I had heard about all the problems with the Gen one version so I was a little skeptical about this purchase but it's been flawless for the past six months! The only grills/smokers in my outdoor kitchen are Weber's and I own 7 of them!!
The fact that I have to put a tray under my food in order to prevent grease fires is pathetic!! Poor design for grease run off. The current design flat out doesn’t work. Even in their food recipe steps they tell you to use a tray.

Thank you for being a long time Weber fan! We greatly appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback regarding the drip trays. Using a drip pan during long cooks is very common and helpful. The drip pan serves a couple purposes, such as proving added moisture to the food and easy clean up after grilling, just to name a few. Our team has reached out via email to assist you further. Thank you!
The Grill cooked fine for first 6 months. Loved it. Then it crashed. The glow plug quit and the entire assembly was ruined. Like gone. had to replace the entire assembly, melted, corroded. Then the fan motor blew out at the same time. All after 6 months. Is this what is to happen every 6 months? This is an 1200 grill and it lasted 6 months. completely unacceptable.

Love the quality of weber products. So far im a little disappointed at smoke flavor or lack there of after the first few smokes. I also think it should have a larger hopper. I purchased it for its smoking abilty or claim to it, so for me im not happy with it yet.

Thank you for your feedback. We are excited and happy to hear from a long-tie Weber fan like yourself. We appreciate your suggestion for a larger hopper and we are sorry that you haven't yet achieved the smoke flavor you're looking for from your SmokeFire grill.
We recommend using the SmokeBoost feature of your grill to get the smoke infusion you desire. SmokeBoost is a feature designed to enhance the smoky flavor of food at a very low temperature. We also recommend using bolder flavored Weber pellets like our Mesquite or Hickory blends for added flavor.
Please look for an email follow-up from our Support team. We'll send more information about SmokeBoost and help you achieve your dream results. Thanks again for being a Weber fan!
Love the grill itself. I had issues with the legs not being tapped correctly and not letting the casters screw in all the way. Webber customer service was great and immediately sent replacements with no charge.
Great grill over all but the ash from the pellets blows around and gets on everything.

Thank you for your feedback. We loved to hear that you are having a great experience with your grill. Regarding the ash in your cookbox, we appreciate your concern. However, because ash is a natural product of burning wood, it cannot be totally avoided.
Our Weber Engineers took great measures to uniquely design a pellet grill that directs ash down and into an enclosed system so that very little ash should ever reach the cooking grate area. You'll notice more than usual the first time your grill is used, and that is okay.
We recommend cleaning the burn pot and cooking chamber after the first cook by pushing the ash into the ash and grease drawer with the provided Weber scraper.
